After some hard long thoughts I decided to cancel my Ocean one reservation and lease an EV6 and that’s the best decision I’ve made given my circumstances. Sure I lost my 5k but I think taken the delivery of Ocean would have costed me more in hassles and frustration. The technology of EV vehicles are constantly changing and every year we would see better options and prices so leasing made a lot sense. Thanks for your very insightful informative videos. I know it's not happening fast enough for a lot of people, but now that these things are actually shipping I'm crazy excited. I absolutely can('t) wait for my Ultra. Agreed about Henrik's hubris, but Fisker does seem to be course correcting based on customer feedback

Thanks for all of your videos, sir. Very helpful in my decision on my Fisker Ocean One. I decided to cancel my car #501 because of the cost, financing, lack of features, and duration between when I ordered (Jan 2020) and the fact the car is still not here. Best of luck to the Ocean owners out there. I'm test driving other EV's this weekend and will pull the trigger on a fully supported and baked vehicle.

You’re not alone, I did the same. Maintenance and service were also a big factor for me. Heard someone had software issues and took them 2 weeks to fix. This was supposed to be my primary driver so if something would have happened I would be without a car for god knows how long.

Just one thing about the EV6 (not sure about the Ioniq5). Their leases are taking a $7,500 lease discount and you can also negotiate a bit the MSRP based on that fact on a buy (I have a friend who is manager at a Kia dealership in South Florida). I made a reservation for an Ultra recently, but I’m starting to have my doubts. Let’s see how Q4 2023 winds up, but I may end up in a EV6 or a Honda Prologue

I think your graph is very professional. For the ocean one you can now throw base Model S and Rivian R1T dual motor standard range. Fisker one is a hard sell today. Cars and bids proved that. They charge additional 2k for delivery don't forget that small fact.

I have a pretty niche requirement for my next car. I am a surfer and I currently drive a Tesla 3. The Tesla key card is thin and totally waterproof and easy to take into the "Ocean" with me for a session. Before getting the Tesla, I used to wrap my key in a waterballoon and keep it in my boardshorts, or leave the key on the beach and totally stress out about it. I can't go back to that. That seems to leave me with a very few choices - Tesla, Hyundai, BMW, Rivian and *kinda* Polestar. I'd really like to see Fisker come up with an NFC-only key for such a use case.

A very good point. The Tesla Key is super handy. Fisker is most likely going to focus on finishing the software suite before adding any additional features. I think your use case is niche, but the convenience of the key card has massive benefits for hundreds of applications. Thanks for sharing your experience, Cheers!

Was literally looking at the model y today trying not to double guess my Ocean sport order. The main sticking point for me is the features they keep taking away; the heat pump and now the subscriptions. And the Second is that I originally wanted the ultra for the range and all wheel drive but couldn't justify the price just for that but now the Model Y is offering those two things at a lower price then the Ultra. If only Tesla car's weren't so ugly.

I appreciate you referencing my comment in your video. Although I'm still on the fence with a nagging headache about the Ocean, it's that feeling of regret whether I do or do not go forward that haunts me. I have been invested in the company with stock and of course an order of the Ocean One. If I had a gun to my head today, I would go ahead with the purchase. Although I might beg for mercy to pull the trigger to put me out of my misery after! I hope all will work out. I do still love the design of the car.

Hyundai Ioniq 5 also offered a $7500 discount on lease. Because I bought mine, I have a 0.99% loan. I must say however that had my chiropractor gotten his ocean one sooner I might not have purchased the Hyundai. Yesterday I admired, sat inside and we discussed some of the problems. Wow! Curb appeal is beautiful and the white seats are amazing. Like I mentioned last week, I may be trading in my Hyundai in a year or 2 for a shiny new Fisker. Question: about what should I expect to pay for having the new vehicle finish ceramic coated? …. since I live in Southern California, I suppose I’ll have to double your estimate.lol

The Ocean is beautiful, for sure. Ceramic coating is $1k to $3k. I ceramic coat my vehicles myself, for about $100 + 8 hours labor. Keep me posted on how it goes, Cheers!

I am also thinking about my Ocean one order, especially after test driving in chicago last week. Seats are miserable for a 70K car, no ventilated seats, no lumbar support (this one was total surprise). The person had to reset the vehicle to get seat height adjustment work - that was done after my test drive. The Nav system is annoyingly slow and doesn't looks like it will get better. Other battery, keyfob etc issues, Lack of clarity about service (esp unplanned service needs due to fisker side issues) and no firm commitment about missing features, lack of hill assist is a safety issue in an EV. As things keep getting delayed, we are really paying for depreciation without getting any use out of the money. Few think in favor of Ocean One: 1. Already paid 5k. 2. Looks overall. 3. California mode.. 4. (May be) Range.. but with all issues, very risky to take on road trip, so doesn' matter I guess.

Hello and thank you for another great video. There are many reasons I've been excited about the Fisker Ocean One. I also have concerns mentioned by the Fisker customer at the beginning of the video. The greatest issue that Fisker is NOT listening to its customers is the lack of communication, poor and just bad customer service. If Fisker cannot or will not effectively communicate with customers in the sales process, how can customers trust that Fisker will have their backs when it comes to the sales process and after? I am having the same types of I'm not sure I want the Ocean One issues, but they have to do with the lack and back way Fisker is managing this process and that makes what should be a great opportunity and turns it into a nightmare. Why should anyone pay $70k for a nightmare with no communications and bad customer service? Fisker needs to turn this around and make good on delivering the Ocean Ones. Thank you again for the great video, it did remind me of the positives I find in the Fisker Ocean One, I'm just not sure it is enough to offset the deplorable communications and non-existent customer service.

Still thinking I'll be a "his and hers" Fisker buyer, but I'm really hoping some of these bugs get squashed. I still don't see another car that offers this much for this amount of money, except the Tesla which I also find boring. My fear, besides the glitches, is that within a year or two the market will have many options at similar cost with less kinks.

I think the EV options will continue to increase, but the volume will continue to be low. GM, Ford, Stellantis Hyundai/kia VW group all need ICE sales to profit. Only time will tell, but I doubt anyone is going to release anything completely competitive with the ocean for a while. Except Tesla. Which is boring. Thanks for your feedback, Cheers!

I Ordered an Ocean Extreme on the 2nd of October and last week I asked them when I can expect delivery to Austria (Graz). The next day I got the answer that my Fisker will be produced on the 23rd October with delivery end of November (!). So, yes, they do react - I tried via the Fisker App.

Fisker Ocean will get Apple Car play and presumably Android Auto too... at some point. I had the opportunity to test drive an Ocean One in Denmark this week and had a good chat with the Fisker employee who brought it. I had many questions and he had good answers to all of them. He also said that they are working on incorporating Apple Car play into the car. He didn't know if it also applied to Android Auto (which is more relevant to me), but I guess there is a good chance... He could not tell me anything about when to expect this. I guess we should consider it a future feature.

Yes I myself I’m thinking twice now about taking my ocean, even though $1000 is a lot to lose. Because paying 70,000 for a car and tech is not finished or even up to par I don’t think it’s worth it. but I’ll let you know the day that I canceled.

A part of me still longs for the Ocean even after getting the Model Y. The deal breaker for me was after-sales. Not that Tesla is good at it but at least it's established. For Fisker's, time will tell. I remain excited for you though! If only I have a fast-forward button for delivery of your car.

My response to the person who wrote that to you is: Do your homework! Henrik has been on many podcasts, youtube interviews, and you can find out why he choose not to do the things you want vs the focus he has a sustainability. I agree he has a BIG ego and we may not agree with his choices, but it's like buying Apple you get what you get and you like it or buy Andriod. I am not a Fan boy, I am a realist and I know what I am getting from experience and that is why I was not going to give him $5k. You made the choice to give him $5k. I will wait for a lot of the bugs to get worked out. You have every right to spend your money however you want. There was NOWAY I was dropping $5k down without knowing more detail, I will wait for the reviews.

I don’t know why you think Tesla is boring. Whenever somebody gets into my model Y they say “Wow!”. First, not a lot of cars have white seats, glass roof and a giant tablet as a dashboard. Then instant torque and they are sold!

Couldn’t agree more. People that ride in Teslas, and drive Teslas like them. I love mine and many others do too. Quick example, took a professional acquaintance for a ride, as they were interested in a new car. Totally sold. Bought ICE VW because spouse is “scared there’s no place to charge.” The spouse also said “they are all poor quality.” This person had never driven, ridden in, or seen the inside of one in person.
