I have the Midwest T1 with a Holosun red dot on my Gen 2. I installed the MCarbo rear sight to get a little more height. The Gen 2 folds a lot thinner making it much easier to store than the Gen 3. The G2 fits nicely in a laptop bag. I much prefer the AR height sights as they are easier to acquire the sight picture. Might be a cheek bone thing. The Gen 3 rotating fore end with an optic attached makes the folded gun much wider/bulkier. Limits me to a gym bag. Seriously looking at just using AR flip sights on the G3 but I am old and my eyes need all the help I can get.. I just mounted a 1" tube LPVO to try out. I can't hit what I can't see. Also looking at a 1X prism or a 2x LER scope. Still playing with it.

I agree, there are pro's to the Gen 3, but the Gen 2 are still VERY good choices!!

@@yrsued I am liking the LPVO. While I can hit at 100 yards with 1X I can identify what I am shooting at with 4X especially in brush or cover. it allows more accurate shots. It does add a little to the folded length as the eye bell hang past the fold. The scope and mount add 1 lb.

@@kfsrmn cool that you found a setup that works for you. I'm happy with the Red Dot
