Lift 2.2 TDI I4 5-Dr SUV (RHD) could do with a proper 2.0 in. - 3.0 in. suspension lift . . . this will also require some suspension recalibration (tuning) & a tad bigger tyres, but not too big . . . preferably a (+0) up size of the existing radial tyre . . . it is said that before venturing into some serious off road stake out certain factors should be taken into serious consideration . . . mildly retuned 2.2 TDI I4 for that low end grunt . . . both chassis frame & body of the Mahindra Scorpio N (Z101) 4WD + 2.0 in. Lift 2.2 TDI I4 5-Dr SUV (RHD) has to be reinforced for greater torsional rigidity & enhanced stiffening . . . beefed up suspension featuring stiffer reservoir shocks & anti-roll bars & a proper heavy duty 2.0 in. - 3.0 in. suspension lift (must have) in the interest of better off roadability & a higher break over angle, which is of paramount importance when driving off road . . . this will also require some suspension recalibration (tuning) & a tad bigger tyres, but not too big . . . preferably a (+0) up size over the existing one . . . a 2.0 in. suspension lift is best suited to the Mahindra Scorpio N (Z101) 4WD + 2.0 in. @@absmail007 let me share my thought process. Initially I wanted a decent looking car which had decent off-road capability (4*4 or AWD) since I wanted to go to overlanding adventures with my family. The only option then was Jeep compass trailhawk which is way beyond my budget. Thar was my only option but it's not suitable for family so that got automatically removed. Then my only option in my budget was XUV700. Although I knew XUV700 wouldn't be a great choice because it's a monocoque SUV with not so great approach and departure angles but I had no choice nd booked it because of AWD. But now with launch Scorpio n I get a true ladder frame SUV ,decent features(don't care much about features) , 6 airbags with all basic safety features such as ESC,EBD etc nd ofcourse future 5 star crash test rating nd much better off-road capability than XUV700 with high nd low transfer case , MLD nd lastly a good family car for city too(Noida) Hence my option was clear based on my priorities. Hope my perspective gives some clarity 😊

Why Mahindra these days making their petrol engines more powerful than the diesel one i mean the petrol has 200bhp with 370nm torque where as diesel has 175bhp with 370nm/400nm torque

Generally petrol engines have more HP while diesel engines have more torque. Inorder to match the torque output of 2.2 liter diesel engine, Mahindra uses 2 liter turbo petrol engine, which obviously have more power than diesel since it is a petrol engine.

petrol generally has more power and diesel more torque in the xuv700 the diesel makes 185hp and 450nm torque so its a capable engine just de tuned in this case anyway whenever mahindra gives the scorpio n a facelift that time they just might tune it back to 450 nm who knows

In Z2 diesel variant you’ll get low price 15.49 lakhs on road delhi In z4 diesel you’ll get 4*4 with a price 19.49 lakhs on road delhi In z6 again no 4*4 and no alloy wheels till z6 variant 18.46 lakhs for manual on road delhi But Z6 you’ll get sunroof and automatic price : 20.73 lakhs automatic on road delhi So best is to buy Z2 As no interior till z6 plus no alloy wheels So enjoy the roughness and raggedness of this car with Z2 variant although not so cheap and best

Z6 is not worth because first of all Mahindra is not delivering it as of yet, and when you receive it the prices would have increased a lot. And 2nd, it just has Alexa and Sunroof on top of lower Z4 model. So, my humble opinion is Z4 is more VFM and save that money for fitting the alloys. And that's what I did. My Z4 D AT already reached the dealership.

Ha ha ha ha this is the D u m B£st notion 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 if u are travelling with 7 people and u are going for holidays or something, wont u think u must have at least 4-5 big bags , even if you are going for 2-3 days ! No car can gulp those bags in the boot after 3 rows up , none ! Everyone knows they require a roof carrier for that ! At least here u can use roof carriers because of usable roof rails , 90 % of cars out there dont have usable roof rails , carens , alacazar etc , and many other have panoramic sunroof like Safari , Xuv 500 etc , which again cant accommodate roof carrier ! Here at least we can use roof carrier!
