Progressive overload/Dorian Yates style training like Justin is talking about always worked the best for me but it also beat me up the worst. I grew the best and got stronger but I learned I could only do about 8 weeks that way until I had to back off. The log book is crucial for that style training as well

The training discussion was helpful. I am the same as as Fouad, and looking at longevity as this point. I have been using a log book to track my workouts, but sometimes the workout feels mundane, doing thr same program. I used to lift like Nick, and go by feel, that was when it was fun. Sometimes I feel like ego lifting, and other times it's the pump.

Great podcast guys! Regarding Greg’s comments about going from 130 to 230 pounds from training….I would suspect that we often conflate growth from development with growth from training as an adult. A lot of guys confuse their development with their exercise induced transformation. Maybe this type of change is possible….but many (guys especially) confuse development form puberty with their exercise transformation.
