Gotta give a shout out to Stuart. I booked/had a full bag fitting with him 2 weeks ago. I'm almost 60 and turned up with a bag of random gen 5 woods and paradym x irons with senior shafts all bought on ebay because I'm not a billionaire and because I thought I'm getting old so need senior shafts. We concentrated mainly on the irons and surprisingly it turns out I swing well over 80mph with irons meaning I needed stiff shafts, again steel not the graphite my own mind had told me I needed. We settled on KBS stiff 95 steel shafts. My budget had me leaning towards Gen 5 or 6 but after much testing I was getting better results from the XCOR2 so we went 6 all the way to lob wedge. I also went with a gen 6 7 wood. Point here is Stuart could easily have fitted me into gen 6 everything just to upsell but he didn't, he fitted me into what is currently best for me. I walked away hitting 20 yards further, much straighter and the dispersion was about a 3rd of what it was with my noodle shafted Paradym x's. I won't buy clubs again without a fitting. PXG and Stuart provided a next level experience, factor in the fitting was FREE on offer and with PXG's hero program for service and ex service members the cost was outstanding. Clubs arrived in a week or so, beautifully packaged and 30 minutes later I was teeing of at South Shields golf course and shot around 90 bot bad for an old fart with back, hip and knee problems on a course I'd never played before. Do I recommend PXG and Stuart.....He'll YES. just do it guys.

I had a pxg fitting recently and left feeling really disappointed. Felt like i was being sold a driver rather than fit for one. I booked a fitting with a Taylormade fitter the next day and had a totally different experience. No pressure to purchase, listened to, not even told about any technology in the club. Just told to swing the club and he would build the club around me.Purchased a Qi10 and love it. I do love the stuff you do with Sam and think this was a step in a different direction, but i understand the sponsorship package means you have to explore other avenues. Lets hope you play well with the pxg stuff.

I had a fitting with stuart for Black Ops, he's really good straight off the bat let me alone to warm up and get into the fitting then pretty much got straight to the spec experimented with a couple of lofts then a bit of tweaking with weights to get the feel where I like it, fitted me to tour head 9 Velocore 7x black the thing is forgiving as for a low spinner dont get me wrong I can get it going way off the course but if you leave the face a bit open at 180+ ball speed it doesn't matter what your fitted into

Pxg have been so chilled out! They’re asking nothing of me, I can do whatever I want, all they asked is that I visited Stuart to have my specs checked over as they don’t know Sam. They’ve been great! A lot more detail will be revealed.

After the fitting on irons and fairway with Sam, I rang Pxg as I loved their product, and they offered to support me with equipment, but they just wanted to have me looked at by one of their in house fitters. They were happy with everything sam had fitted and whilst I was there Stuart set me up a driver.

Love the fitting and review video. I flirted with the carbon face in the Slealth2 and the QI10. In the end I settled on the standard Black Ops at 12 degree and just noticed a little more pop and distance. I’m a slow swing speed fellow too.

Very different style of fitting than with Sam. Were you hitting premium balls or just normal range balls? You were so happy with your stealth but really seemed to enjoy that black ops 🔥. Is 250ish yard carry what you'd expect with driver? It's just unusual to see someone on youtube who doesn't hit it 300yards. You're content has really gone up a level - loving it!

The balls weren’t premium, they were range balls. I thought I carried the ball 265-270, but I guess all golfers think they hit it further, having said that, I’ve never been a short hitter, the only KZbin that has consistently hit it past me is James Wilshire and he was miles in front.

Firstly, it’s not an option within PXG’s exotic shafts, but also, my spin has increased since the fitting with Sam, and I think this is mainly down to the ORANGE TEE VIDEO and learning how to hit more natural! I’m not sure if you watch all the videos, but when sam made me aware of how low my launch and spin was, I started to experiment.

Stuart did a Black Ops Challenge with Paul Hemlin of The Golf Show recently. He had the same results too. The Black Ops went further, and straighter, than his current PING G430LS. Challenge completed!!! What would be interesting now (at least for me😉), take that set up down to Sam and see if he can improve upon it with his choice of shafts. I'm cognizant that Stuart put you in the 'Black' when Sam had you in the 'Red', those shafts have profiles that are nothing like each other...would you consider doing that, as others have asked too and filming it please?

I think that the fitter should have put the heavier weight in the heel side to make the club face close faster, because the ball striker was losing the ball to the right. But he put the heavier weight on the toe side, so then the face tends to stay more open.

He closed the face with the loft sleeve, lofting 8* upto 10* which got the ball starting further left and then the weight in the toe was so that it faded back to centre. Thanks

Yep he was awful mate. Fitted him with range balls and did not let him hit his gamer again after he warmed up. As he’s fitted him to a range ball when he goes on course with the pro v the driver will not be like in the fitting at all, shocking stuff

Benefit of outdoor fitting - you can see the flight of the ball. Benefit of an indoor fitting - you can choose which type of ball to hit.

The issue was, I were missing more shots right than left. I think the toe weight and heavier swing weight might just be enough for me now. Also, going lower lost up, although closes the face a fraction, I think keep the spin lower than going higher loft down.

There is something to be said for an outside fitting as opposed to hitting into a screen. I struggle with the latter. You gained 15yrds which is a ton.

I found this really hard to watch. The fitter started talking about the optimiser and showing it and never showed it again with the PXG. Launch looked really low at 7.5 degrees?? Also it wasn’t a very collaborative fitting. He kept referencing his own game … who cares! Chalk and cheese between him and Sam. Get a retro fitting done when you get the driver from PXG to make sure you have been fitted and not sold.

I am struggling to understand this Fitting if i am honest. He said the Driver head was designed to launch high and spin low. The final drive they are pleased with is 3500 spin and 7.5 launch which is the opposite. I think they are great looking Drivers but please go and see Sam Smith to get this dialled.

I didn’t like this fitting video, for starters he just set you straight in with an X flex heavy shaft, this is exactly what you’ve commented on that you get automatically put into in the past. Luckily you’ve now been through a lot with Sam so you know what to look for and could point yourself back in the right direction. The head looks good for you but you have to go sort out the tuning with Sam, seems like you’re leaving a lot on the table with this setup, that could be due to the range balls but surely you don’t go to a proper fitting like this to come out the other end thinking "I hope my spin rate is reasonable with a proper ball”, you go there to come out knowing your numbers and with an optimised setup, didn’t look like you came out of this session with either.

You would never have bought that stealth off Sam if you carried it 257., you was carrying it 270/275 in that fitting alone. Them first hits can’t have been correct. The indoor golf centre you went when you got the new driver you was smashing it, did you fail them on purpose for the benefit of the pxg fitting, hope not. Shame, that fitting guy is a waste, you can see from your body language you can’t be bothered listening to his waffle. Stay true

No no, not at all! Sam fitted me for Irons, and fairway. Thats all I really needed, but when’s PXG said they’d support me, it was a no brainier to go and see Stuart for a driver fitting.

Sorry but this fitting is awful! The guy speaks to you like your a child with 0 golf knowledge, no swingweight machine, no choice of grips, cheapest range mat they could get, range balls but using trackman, using an elevated bay to. Only thing I agree with is him saying he can only fit what you bring on the day, but he also didnt let you speak at all. This guy is a salesman and not a fitter, he should be working for American golf stores! Best thing about this is you got a free ventus blue to go with your red, I would be straight to Sam and get another fitting with this.

Stuart isn’t a regular on KZbin, in-terms of his explanations, you can’t blame him for not realising how much you guys actually already know. I think he just wanted to share some knowledge in the best interest of the audience (he knew I knew). When PXG offered to support me with equipment, it was a no brainer. All they asked is that one of their in house fitters checked over my specs from Sam which they were happy with. Whilst I’d not had a driver fitting with sam, they offered me one whilst I was there, I couldn’t turn it down ⛳️
