The RamCharger makes sense to focus on first. The Pentastar should make enough power to keep it pulling a modest trailer at highway speeds. There is an opportunity to have a truck you can drive to a worksite that can generate 50+kW of electrical power, if the cooling can keep up. That would be about 85 HP to do that. Imaging pulling up with a compressor, welder, saws, fans, pressure washer, vacuum, etc in the bed of the truck and everything there can be powered by the truck itself. A mobile self powered workshop. Drive it to lunch and top off the tank and back to work. Or your power goes out at your home and you back the truck exhaust out of the garage, plug the truck into the house, and run your fridge, freezer, Air conditioning, etc. You never have to tap the batteries for that power, so it would never leave you stranded even if you ran the tank dry.

We want someone to ask the Hurricane engineers more about longevity and why they decided to not incorporate port injection? A ZF8 and high-power inline 6 sounds like a match made in German and RAM engineering heaven… in theory.

Trust me if Dodge/Stellantis Refresh that Proven 5.7L Hemi V8 engine with more power , that would be a game changer too !! Because It has a lot of potential !! But it's good to see it come back into the Ram 1500 full size pick-up truck !!🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸💪💪

I'm glad that the EV mandates are over !!! I didn't have a problem with EV'S, i just had a problem with the Government demanding them only and with the pass Democrat Administration !! Because you can't do Business like that, because Americans still want choices in all types of powertrains Period !!!🇺🇸🇺🇸💪💪👍👍

Just bought a lightning last year. Best truck ive ever owned. Faster than my vette, can pull my 9k pound travel trailer and powered my house for 3 days during the hurricane

I love my lightning, I know people are butt sore of EVs, but this is my 5th new half ton since 2014 and I like the lightnings the best. Mind you I live in Canada and the gas is 7 dollars a gallon plus. I had a 2018 Ram 1500 sport with the Hemi, ran that up to 96k miles, It was a nice motor but 100 dollars to go around the block. Just traded a 2023 lightning XLT SR in for a deal that came up on a 2024 XLT. The 2023 was a dog for efficiency up here in the cold with the resistant heat. They stripped a bunch of features off the 24 XLT but it has a heat pump. Should be easier to live with up here. My gosh the dealer gave me a fantastic deal, they almost gave me what I paid last year. I'm almost glad people don't like them can you ever get a deal going.

i know 4 people with the I6. 2 HO and 2 SO.. .,initialy they all reported horrible mpg saying the hemi was better.. Now they all say they get better MPG than the hemi after a few months. They all wanted the loud hemi..but now they like how quiet and smooth the i6 engine is after a few months and they love it cruising on the highway... none of them would go back to a hemi with less power...none of them have any issues with their engines through 5k. the need to offer a 35 inch wheel package on the gladiator.. and it needs the hurricane SO...
