Totally professional, no matter the language used! Great video Lars, congrats! Even being a family car I think front wheel drive is much worse than rear drive and you get room for a useful frunk. One pedal driving unavailable, no way!

Really nice test. I have to subscribe for sure. But as a Scenic E Tech user I have some suggestions. More than 17 K km already driven, and a 6k km roadtrip from France to Norway done (so easy). Had an Ev6 before, that was really really good, but apart for the charging speed and the Rwd, everything is far better in the Renault. My suggestions First, an update just added the DC charging speed display, it was really important for me. Then, you have to take care of the usable top buffer between 99 and 100%. The car should charge 0,87 kWh per %, it charges in fact up to 4 kWh. Every % spent is no more 0,87kWh, but 0,84kWh So you can drive almost 19 km from 100% to 99% with these consumption number. Meaning that you can add about 15 more Km to your measurement, since you started at 99% SOC. Renault did it very confusing, just like in the 52 kWh Zoe and or a Nissan Aryia. When charging and 100% is just displayed at the dashboard, the process will not stop, and will keep on charging for a pretty long time. The problem is that almost every test that have been done are a bit off, 15 km more on the motorway, is maybe 20 km on country roads, and even 30 on city roads. Finally, the steering wheel is capacitive. You don't have to move it. I found that the half bottom part is just a bit more sensitive, and the flat top is not at all. Bye !

Thanks a lot for your feedback. There’s nothing more valuable than real life experience from actual owners.

Good job Renault, and the entry level price is lower than the average price of a new vehicle in Europe, not to mention it costs less than 2 € for 100 km in electricity (at least in France). Renault is one of the few brands that seem to be successful for the transition to EVs.

The rear view camera is positioned in the top of the rear window, not over the number plate. So the wiper is needed for that. On my Scenic I can see the charging rate on the screen. Think it was an software update. One problem with EV:S is that you do not use the brakes and that could cause them not to work the way it should. I don't know if it is because of that you have to use the brakes to com to a total stop. But that's only my thoughts.

68 points, really? So, what is the better ev in this price point and size then?

50000 euros for a Renault! if you told someone a few years back that 50000 will get you a Renault he would laugh so hard. it really is the end of times!

Renault wrote "engine" instead of "motor" but you said "gas pedal" (20:19) 😉 so nobody is perfect !

the steering wheel IS capacitive ;-) (like in the VW, Mercedes or BMW) !! no need to apply a torque (like Tesla)...

After two test drives, I’ve noticed that an important issue is consistently missing from your reviews - the poor quality of the rear camera. It’s a crucial feature for many drivers, yet it seems to be overlooked. Why is this never addressed?
@dfgsdfgdhfgdh18 күн бұрын
Could you please stop complaining about the rear camera under each single video on KZbin? You didn't like it, we got it. Just move on.

@@dfgsdfgdhfgdh I think you may have missed my point. My concern isn't just about the rear camera itself-it's about the way these so-called "honest" reviews seem overly focused on promoting the car rather than giving an unbiased assessment. When key issues are glossed over, it feels like the reviews are more about marketing than transparency. This bias makes it hard to trust the feedback we're getting.

@@saharkhosravi3525 I agree with you. test drove the vw id4 and it's an amazing car but the camera has a very very strangle angle of view

This is my unbiassed assessment of the car. You might have a different view on things or find other things important but that doesn't make my view of it biased. I have no relationship with Renault other than them providing me press cars for review.

@@TotallyElectric and thanks a lot for the review! I'm now a subscriber! Would be interesting to also test parking assistant and cameras on the reviews. Thanks! Gracias

Renault do not like frunks. No idea why.

29:54 Don't worry, since manufacturers are enabling to switch the sound off, the next iteration of the law will just limit the car to the authorized speed, all over Europe. Especially in cities were drivers don't seems to understand that hitting a pedestrian or a cyclist at more than 30 km/h hugely increase the risk of death. If respecting speed limits is too difficult, just don't drive. In the meantime cities will add more and more speed bumps or just close more and more roads, since it is far easier to close a road than enforcing reasonable speed limits.
