Price doesn't make any sense. Should have been lower priced considering speed was 2.2 lakhs sometimes occasionally and it's superior in everything. Should be around maverick's or hunter range, 1.9-2.05lakhs.

Triumph doesn't want to continue the discounted price of 2.23 for the speed anymore. And if they update Speed and launch at 2.4 it might backfire. So they came up with this idea it seems. And even the new speed doesn't have the chrome silencer, which means Triumph wasn't making much profit with Speed with the launch/discounted price. They wanted to increase the margin of speed and make decent profit from T4.

The pricing doesn’t make sense to me. It is a difference of 23k, not a very significant difference. For a price of 2.4 speed is offering better tyres, performance, ride by wire and other hardware. I feel somebody who has a budget of 2.17 can surely extend it to 2.4.

Speed 400 used to sell at 2.24. Given this misses on USD forks, Traction control, better tyres, even details like immobiliser, and what not. Don’t understand how they managed to bring prices down by only 7k. Price cant be justified by the amount of cost cutting done. And this colour scheme shouts(I am cheap Tirdent) while it should have been a simpler colour complementing the nature of bike. Or maybe they made less margins in speed 400, so they are planning to earn more. But economics of scale could have worked if they even went for 2 lacs.

To be honest, I'm kinda disappointed on this bike. First, I thought it would have the design dna from the T100 and the T120. Second, they shouldn't have removed the immobilizer for cost cutting as it's an anti-theft system that prevents from getting stolen. Third, it would have been better if they had added fork gaiters on the RSUs so as to avoid fork seals getting damaged or to avoid dust accumulation.

This was to overcome the heating issues so that you can ride longer as well as the better city commuter too also better mileage... This will make it more cheaper than Speed 400 in longer run... Don't forget RE and Honda's have power figures even lesser than this... In my opinion the price is damn competitive and better for the cuts and additional values it provides...

In my opinion, it stands out against the Hunter 350, which, while stylish, doesn’t quite match the T4’s performance features like the 6-speed gearbox. This gearbox gives the T4 a significant edge in terms of responsiveness and allows me to enjoy highway cruising without constantly shifting. It makes long rides feel effortless, which is a huge plus.

Its an alternative to the CB350RS/Hunter but I think in a few months time it will come down in price As a side note, is the 400X and Duke 390 a good option for exploring India? I really like the 390 with its features and performance but that exhaust gives me anxiety 😓. Will it be an issue in areas clogged with water? If it is then I'll just take the feature hit and get the 400X

I was in dilemma between Husqvarna vitpilen 250 and this bike. After reading reviews for both, I'll just go for the vitpilen. Both produce pretty much the same power and I found vitpilen comfortable to ride but the extra tech on Husqvarna helps a lot especially Traction control and Quickshifter+. A very good video btw. 👍🏽

Speed 400 was already very tractable in the city. Triumph could have reworked on the Speed 400 to iron out the vibes at higher rpms so that, it could cruise at high speeds on the highways. Anyways, They made an already value for money motorcycle more accessible by making compromises :(
