Price doesn't make any sense. Should have been lower priced considering speed was 2.2 lakhs sometimes occasionally and it's superior in everything. Should be around maverick's or hunter range, 1.9-2.05lakhs.

Totally agree with you. Considering the downgrades, especially the power figures, it doesn't justify the price cut of only 20k. Should be around 1.8L. Better to go for speed 400.

Speed 400 was selling for 2.23 in Aug, it's just 6k less than that. Considering this .. T4 is priced bit higher. At this price they should've atleast given better tyres and Traction control

The Speed 400 is for people who want an energetic performer , but does not wanna go with KTM's cause of the looks and the reputation. That's the notion I have got from most people in the Triumph groups and the service centers.

Was expecting a CB350RS like performance in the city. But it looks like this is neither a speed 400 nor a city cruise. Will wait for the test ride. Disappointed with three things till now: 1. Stiff rear suspension 2. Drop in braking performance 3. Those cheap looking graphics 😢

Triumph doesn't want to continue the discounted price of 2.23 for the speed anymore. And if they update Speed and launch at 2.4 it might backfire. So they came up with this idea it seems. And even the new speed doesn't have the chrome silencer, which means Triumph wasn't making much profit with Speed with the launch/discounted price. They wanted to increase the margin of speed and make decent profit from T4.

The pricing doesn’t make sense to me. It is a difference of 23k, not a very significant difference. For a price of 2.4 speed is offering better tyres, performance, ride by wire and other hardware. I feel somebody who has a budget of 2.17 can surely extend it to 2.4.

Speed 400 used to sell at 2.24. Given this misses on USD forks, Traction control, better tyres, even details like immobiliser, and what not. Don’t understand how they managed to bring prices down by only 7k. Price cant be justified by the amount of cost cutting done. And this colour scheme shouts(I am cheap Tirdent) while it should have been a simpler colour complementing the nature of bike. Or maybe they made less margins in speed 400, so they are planning to earn more. But economics of scale could have worked if they even went for 2 lacs.

To be honest, I'm kinda disappointed on this bike. First, I thought it would have the design dna from the T100 and the T120. Second, they shouldn't have removed the immobilizer for cost cutting as it's an anti-theft system that prevents from getting stolen. Third, it would have been better if they had added fork gaiters on the RSUs so as to avoid fork seals getting damaged or to avoid dust accumulation.

So you are right! They have built this to a cost. There is a fork shield of sorts but its not the most appealing thing to look at and we aren't sure about functionality too.

This was to overcome the heating issues so that you can ride longer as well as the better city commuter too also better mileage... This will make it more cheaper than Speed 400 in longer run... Don't forget RE and Honda's have power figures even lesser than this... In my opinion the price is damn competitive and better for the cuts and additional values it provides...

In my opinion, it stands out against the Hunter 350, which, while stylish, doesn’t quite match the T4’s performance features like the 6-speed gearbox. This gearbox gives the T4 a significant edge in terms of responsiveness and allows me to enjoy highway cruising without constantly shifting. It makes long rides feel effortless, which is a huge plus.

Its an alternative to the CB350RS/Hunter but I think in a few months time it will come down in price As a side note, is the 400X and Duke 390 a good option for exploring India? I really like the 390 with its features and performance but that exhaust gives me anxiety 😓. Will it be an issue in areas clogged with water? If it is then I'll just take the feature hit and get the 400X

I really like the 400X! So bloody versatile. The 390 Duke feels a little too small for my frame but I will suggest one thing. Wait for the 390 Adv if you really have touring on the top of your list - VP

For the less electronics and cost cutting the price difference is very high should've Been 20k more cheaper bcoz on road its gonna cost almost 2.60 which is not cheaper 2.40 on road was the sweet spot.

I was in dilemma between Husqvarna vitpilen 250 and this bike. After reading reviews for both, I'll just go for the vitpilen. Both produce pretty much the same power and I found vitpilen comfortable to ride but the extra tech on Husqvarna helps a lot especially Traction control and Quickshifter+. A very good video btw. 👍🏽

Speed 400 was already very tractable in the city. Triumph could have reworked on the Speed 400 to iron out the vibes at higher rpms so that, it could cruise at high speeds on the highways. Anyways, They made an already value for money motorcycle more accessible by making compromises :(

They changed everything aluminium handle bar, foot pegs, no ride by wire, no x ring, no radial brakes, no upside down suspension, no traction control, no immobilizer, Mrf tyres🤯. Dude that's a big list with 16k reduction i am not gonna buy that. I will definitely go for the speed 400.

This one does not feel bad to be honest in terms of feel. But its built to a cost so the equipment is equivalent to the cost the T4 comes at.

They just done cost cutting but price is same 😅😅😅😅. They launch at 2.19lakh last year. still they done lots of parts reduce and launched again 2.17 even they can launch at 1.70lakh ex showroom still they fooling people by x.showroom price game on road it will be 2.75

This downgrade was not at all needed should have focused on already upmarket Speed and Scram. IMO this brings down the brand value. It's like Apple started releasing phone under 50k

Grow the Brand reputation by creating more value driven premium products ❌ Provide next generation of squids the perfect tool to cause road nuisance ✅ Or they just don’t want to sell T4s in large numbers anyway, their focus is to push more buyers into buying the Speed 400😂.

the tractability isn’t there as much as the RE but the performance is very nice .

@@sandy99797 I was talking about the low end thrust and pull.. RE takes off from 1st with no throttle input! And the suspension is better than this.. Performance as in outright acceleration and top speed isn't what this segment is about..

@@kulkins8638 other reviewers said the suspension is on the softer side but this will handle better than 350 this has top speed of 135km 0 to 100 16sec is a joke on a 350 even Honda cb350 is faster than that and more fuel efficient than re 350
