That's interesting, actaully i beleive that it will have no affect, it will only spike the interest of a small group of collector and possible dumb investor. Smart investor in pokmeon does not look for rare cards, they look for cards that are rare but common enough to have lots of transaction. There must be an upward trend before ppl will buy into it. With rare cards, there is simply no price reference.

@@CollectPokemon Thanks for response. While I agree with you about 1/1 cards in Pokemon. I do not think that is how they will do it. I think there will be serialized cards with 10,000 or more cards being serialized for a special card, and for multiple cards in a set. So now, automatically, these become the chase because of the serialization. In this type of scenario, what would your opinion be about non serialized card values??? IMO likely to see a decline in value of older cards, as the market focuses on serialized cards. Curious to your opinion in this scenario. Thanks.

It’s just difficult to replicate with munch promos, we’re living in a different time, we have to accept the demand isnt the same. Maybe that will help the price but to expect the same type of pattern wouldn’t be the best plan

i mean one can speculate but no one really knows in the long run. the pikachu card will most likely be the most common and the other cards that havent realesed yet will be more rare depending how they realese them.

@@DuecePiece the thing is people associate things or extrapolate when the context and basis are 360 degrees different, can´t blame that, it's natural. At this point, this promo is a short term play, long term play is gambling where the odd are low: Simply because the pokemon company has not choice but to step in to do damage control on tbe event that went out of control with wide negative reviews from many key influencers including pokebeach, a respectable channel.

I still don't know what to think about the munch collection...There are sooo many in the wild and I think its still riding the popularity bubble. Having said that, I like the grey felt hat pikachu more (maybe i am having munch fatigue) so hopefully the pokemon company will print more of these like they did for the delivery charizard.

The Pikachu portrait art isn’t too special to me, so the card is a pass. It barely made me think and appreciate the work and was more of an "imitation is the highest form of flattery" piece. As for the Munchlax Snorlax take on The Bedroom, it got my attention. Maybe The Bedroom had the space to allow sowsow to take more creativity to put a Pokemon spin. Maybe Van Gogh's intent to remove shadows and flatten the piece to resemble Japanese print lends itself better to the artstyle of Pokemon.

for everyone who hasn't realized: You will get one promo per item purchased on the pokemon center. If you buy 10 packs of sleeves, then you will get 10 promo cards. I'm thinking $20-25 on value. If you actually buy this for current prices, you're gonna regret it immensly

You do know pokemon center crashed and sold out right? So no, you can't just go get these cards with a purchase.

@@christophermillett2273 Just because the website crashed, doesnt mean it wont be restocked back online. Bare in mind, you have till JANUARY 7.. Almost four entire months from now to get it. And yes, you get multiple cards for multiple items in cart. This card will be hoarded like crazy and prices will TANK within a month or two when people realize how much is printed and hoarded unlike 2018's Munch when people wern't hoarding and it flew under the radar for alot of people. Anyone who buys this card now will be in for a world of hurt when this card drops 75-80% by november's end.
