The thing that gets me about the Wii mini is the lack of component video cable support. This is a must for flat screen TVs, as they have to deinterlace and create display lag, and also the quality isn't as good.

They didn’t put Internet connection or even ethernet in it because it would make the Wii Mini more expensive. The Wii Mini was supposed to be a cheap console for parents who want to buy their child a gaming console, don’t want to spend much money and don’t have to worry about their son/daughter using the browser or playing with strangers online. Just by looking at the Wii Mini you’ll see that it‘s build quality is much cheaper than that of the normal Wii.

The thing that stands out to me is this would be a nice simple system a parent would purchase for a 10 year old. No internet is a big down side but it also makes things much simpler. Just the console and a game, like the "Good O'l Days". I have no idea why but this Wii Mini makes me a little nostalgic for the simpler times in gaming.

I have the Wii Mini for some time now, and you don't wanna know how much fun I have playing with it EVEN without internet or all those other extra's. As long as you have the disc and wii mote/nunchuck, you can play how long you want. I don't have a single problem that the console doesn't have internet connection or something or backwards compatible... I have a lot of fun with it with or without friends/family. It's easier to take it with you, the buttons are easier to reach, the top loader is much better than the slide because for the normal wii it will not get the disc immediately (in my case). I must say that even this console can only play disc games, I have no regret at all for buying it. In fact, I will recommend it to others!!

Quite a refreshment in a world where everything NEEDS to be online, because if it isn't - it's the end of the world. Well, it isn't. It's fun and amazing non the less. Actually, after 2014 when the Wii no longer had wi-fi support because Nintendo shut down the servers the Wii mini started to be a pretty good deal, you only had to consider if you wanted GameCube backwards compatibility or a copy of Mario Kart Wii with your console

I think the Wii Mini is a good deal and since Nintendo has almost disconnected everything Internet related on the Original Wii anyway, it's not that big of deal to me that the couple other Internet things aren't included. The only thing I WISH it had was an SD Card slot so I could copy my Wii games onto and SD Card then still be able to play them on the Wii Mini. Also it would be nice if they brought back the Photo Channel too if they included that feature as I kind of enjoyed looking at my photos on the Wii PLUS doing the cool Puzzle game they had in it. That's just solely my opinion. What is your opinion?

I liked the concept of motion gaming, and as you can tell it shaped the way gaming is today (PlayStation Move and XBOX Kinect). When I saw that the new Wii U was coming out back in November of 2012, I had to get it, and I am glad I did too. First off you transfer your Wii data to the Wii U allowing you to play all of your old Wii games without losing any save data. That is what sold me, but there is more. Most games for the Wii U are 1080p, which is better than the XBOX One's graphics when playing most of its popular launch games, so the fact that you get to play Wii games in glorious HD is beautiful. The E-shop on the Wii U is designed so you can easily navigate it to purchase the latest games. Built in storage is great (if you buy the Wii U deluxe). If you haven't upgraded yet, now would be the time to do it with black Friday almost here. You can always ask for it for Chistmas too!
