Hi Miso - we are this cookbook's authors and we wanted to thank you so much for many nice words about our work! We're really happy that the dishes you tried came out great and they indeed look exactly as they supposed to! We admire that you tried kaszanka recipe - it's so good to read that it worked even with the substitute. When it comes to the Polish blood sausage/kaszanka, it's usually more brownish inside and contains buckwheat or barley groats (which means "kasza", hence the name :)) - and this addition make the sausage taste more balanced, smoothing out the intense flavours of offal and blood. In case Polish-style blood sausage is unvailable, and you want to mimic its flavour, adding 2 Tbsp of cooked barley or white buckwheat groats while frying the sausage might do the trick! And when it comes to the drink - it's a very nice idea to replace gooseberries with green tart-sweet grapes, and if you ever have a chance to try it again once gooseberries are in season, we highly recommend them for even more interesting flavour mix (and it's a reference to the Yen character) :)

Well, Polish style blood sausage usually has a lot more grain in it, usually buckwheat or barley groats that gives it its unique texture. That's where the "Kasza" (pronounced Kasha. btw. The "sz" sound in Polish is very similar to the English "sh") part in "Kaszanka" comes from. But as long as you enjoyed it, thats all that matters. Hope the extra context is interesting to someone!

@@MisoHungrie I did make the fox hollow toast with herbs, which has a floral pesto flavor, and is probably one of my go to ways of having bread with other meals. The big thing is that I started a kitchen remodel so I got to wait like a couple of months before I can make them. Of the dishes in the book, the ones I am eager to try once I get my kitchen finished are: Flamiche, Harborside Zander in Thyme, Hattori's baked mushroom dumplings, and Festive Sausage Stew

The recipe for true blood sausage: 1 kg of buckwheat (boil till ready) 1.5 - 2.5 kg of fresh pig blood (by consistency) 500 g of pig fat or ham (cut into small pieces and broil or fry on the pan till golden brown) Cleared pig colon for sausages Salt and spices as you like When everything is ready mix everything in the bowl. The mix must be close to semiliquid for easy pouring to pre-prepaire sausage shell (colon). Tightly seal and boil in hot boiling whater for 7-10 minutes or till it floats for 7 minutes in boiling water (different recipies set different time)). Pul it out and let it cool. When it is cooled put in pre heated owent (at 180 degrees celsius) for 15 minutes. Make sure to poke with needle the shell of the sausage to prevent explosion of the shell. After you cooked it in the oven it is ready to be eat in the way you want. (MAKE SURE YOU COOKED IT WITH HIGH TEMPRATURES AND IN COMPLETELY BOILING WHATER AND NOT AT THE EDGE OF BOILING) You welcome from Ukraine

1. Cite your sources. 2. Sponsors help keep the channel alive.
@mimipeahes584811 ай бұрын
Would it kill people to actually cite what the company did wrong instead of being vague about it? After looking into it myself the main thing seems to be the case the FTC opened against them for selling user health information which violates HIPAA. All the other controversies seem to just be a result of issues that arise with therapy in general (bad therapists, missed appointments) or BetterHelp has already tried to address them (making therapist credentials more apparent/making refunds easier to access). I’m not saying all this to defend better help, I’m saying all this because its annoying when people insult creators for not doing research but allow for that void of information to go unaddressed. If you wanted them to know, and you actually cared, you would tell them!
@ThatOneGuy755011 ай бұрын
@mimipeahes5848 If I linked to any sources regarding this YT automatically deletes links. Also pushing that responsibility on me is kinda scummy. I'm not the one promoting a less than reputable sponsor on my audience, this guy and many others have been promoting BetterHelp as of late. The bare minimum for MisoHungry is to do the research and decide for himself if he wants to promote a scam "therapy" service. If he can't do that much, then I don't really give a fuck about being cordial.
@jamesfrench345611 ай бұрын
