I loved how you repeatedly emphasized to completely remove subjectivity and discretion and focus on absolute objectivety. That mindset totally resonates with mine and I think that's the more practical one. In my opinion, trading strategies should be so mechanical that even if ten other people execute our strategy it should give the exact results. Thanks for this video man. I love this. There is no perfect exist. It is what makes sense to the trader .

I using a 4atr trailing stop on a 1 hr chart. To large? To small? Any suggestions would be really appreciated.
@Netpicks16 жыл бұрын
Too large and too small would be subjective and I can't answer that. However, if the market on a one hour chart is making 4 times the average move against your position, I don't know if I would be sticking around in the trade. You can look at a smaller setting but I would also look at previous market structure to adjust around.

Backtesting though seems to me an impossible move. People claim they should backtest everything. Go and try to test a multi time frame strategy and probably you will find out that your broker doesn't give you intraday data for a longer period of time.

Absolutely correct. In-depth testing can be extremely difficult but we do what we can to test the viability of the strategy.

I find Donchian Channel as a very good trailing stoploss. Any views about it?
@Netpicks13 жыл бұрын
In reality, you are just using X periods back to set your stop and DC is just making it easy to see. I would prefer using a volatility based stop such as keltner. *Here is our video on Donchian Channels: **kzbin.info/www/bejne/gae6nJmCbpdra5o*
