when you turn the light off there is No power being applied to the Charge circuit or the Bulb, it's probably safer than your cell phone with a much smaller cell.

Simply circuit in the bulb senses AC power when it goes off it switches to DC stored power & when you turn the light off it break connection between the center tap and the outer neutral connector. They work great especially for shorter outages, they last about four hours.

@@alfredocuomo1546 It's pretty simple ... power comes into the house. A lamp is plugged into a receptacle. From the plug, it goes to the switch in the light. When the switch is turned on, the light lights. When the switch is turned off, the light goes dark. If you pull the plug, it is the same to the bulb as the switch being turned off. It is also the same as a power failure. How does the bulb know NOT to go into power failure mode, when you turn off the switch? How does the light tell the difference between a power failure, or the plug being pulled, OR A PERSON TURNING OFF THE SWITCH? This is not hard to grasp is it. It is a simple question. I am requesting a simple answer. The video represents a scenario, of this being a bulb useable in lights. To me, this claim is pretty much 'off the wall', bogus, undoable, unless there is some magic circuitry in the bulb with a wifi monitor, to know the difference between a person turning off the light, and a power failure. I don't know, maybe my house is different, but when I turn my light switches, the lights go off ... they don't stay on because they no longer have power. Are lights different where you live?

I have the battery backup light bulbs in the bathrooms, dining room, utility room, closets, and bedroom by different brands, Feit Electric, GE and Walmart brand. They all work as described. The only downside is that all light bulbs in the fixture need to be a battery backup light bulb. This means you can't use only one bulb in a multi bulb fixture.

I have these Bulbs in several fixtures in my house and when the power goes out they stay on for several hours and there is also a hanging socket that you can screw the bulb in and turn it on and hang it were you need it.

Great video i see you have a predator 5,000 inverter generator how do you like it so far I have a predator 3500 that I use if the power is out at night time since it is so much quieter than my big open frame non-inverter generator

I actually like it a lot. I think I’ve got one review video on it and I’m due for a one year later review video coming up, but to be absolutely honest my brother-in-law uses it more than me. He takes it to mud races and he put it right outside his truck camper and he can’t even hear it. The thing is just so damn quiet

im going to get some of the bulbs.. i have plug in flashlights in the bathroom and basement which turn on a light in the handle when light is off but also emergency flashlight

They really are great, heres the thing i read a bunch of reviews where folks had troubles with multiple lights on a single circuit but I didn't mention in the vidoe but I put on in each of my and the mrs lamps and they don't cause either not to function. I was really impressed with how well they work

Hmm. Interesting. The problem i see with this, is if the power goes out in the middle of the night, the light comes can come on and wake you up. Then some folks will walk the light to go off in order to fall asleep. I am ok sleeping with the power off, and waiting till morning to deal with the issue. I would rather wake up feeling refreshed than be awake all night because of lights on.

Totally agree. I have at least 2 flashlights or lanterns in every room (more in bedrooms). These lights could have use in some cases, but I'm sticking with multiple cheap lights.

That's not how they work, if the light is off & you lose power the light doesn't come on. They use the bulb socket to complete the circuit and if it's off it remains off but if there is no power & you switch on the light it will come on.

Will they still work 3 years from now if the power fails due to battery degration?

I have mine more than five years and out of the half dozen I bought only one died which might just be the cell voltage got to low & the charger won't charge it but I didn't bother to take it apart to determine the final failure cause.

I've used the neck lanyard for years. It keeps the hand warmer at chest level. When you put your jacket on over it, your jacket keeps all of the heat inside.

I see no Rechargeable light bulbs on the US Costco website. It must be a Canadian thing. 😢 Amazon wants 30 dollars for 4 rechargeable bulbs.

Don't buy these battery light bulbs. They are junk! I purchased over a dozen to use in my house, and all of them went bad within a year. Some of them won't work on certain circuits, and some will continuously blink when turned off. These are made so cheap, its a total waste of money.
