I couldn't agree more to what NarasimhaJi explains about getting the fruit of Karma @4:48. Best is to have the wisdom and strength to accept your Karmas... Whatever good is happening to you is because of your good deeds/actions/karmas and whatever bad happens to you is because of your bad karmas coming into your life to teach you something...and that's why one needs that wisdom as well as the strength to accept. God is all-merciful and very loving and we have been given so many ways to rectify our karmas. India has been blessed with loads of very spiritual and divine Rishis who have provided us with a rich heritage of superb culture and astrology! Ravi, you need work in two directions: One to earn livelihood, here your interest may not matter much, as the main intension is to earn your bread, earn money, to save for future such as marriage, children, oldage etc. some says if your interests match with the work you do for livelihood, there is nothing like it, however you should be realistic snd this may not be the case most of the time Second direction is to have sense and slowly start working parallel towards your main interest of reviving as you say, hinduism, its a new realm for you as you can probably support some initiatives towards dharma. Taking deeksha with a guru of your ancestry could be one of the important things for example. Read vedic scriptures, understand them and inculcate them in your life to the best of your abilities. Dont try hard on you just cause Risi vishwamitra did it, you probably cannot stand on a single feet and meditate. Take baby steps and you will see how paramatma helps you 1000 steps... Earn vedic spiritual knowledge, as there is nothing above it.. Take care of your parents when they get old, there is no better service than this... May lord krishna bless you...

Parihara defeats the whole idea of karma. Good karma does not cancel bad karma. So it is impossible to annihilate karma through parihara. Instead develop an attitude to embrace it and accept it.

I have a question for Dr. Rao. You mentioned that Mahabharat happened around 3100 BCE , which most people also believe. However. another brilliant scholar like you, who has worked very hard all his adult life, Nilesh Oak, claims and given several talks apart from writing books, that Mahabharat war happened in 5561 BCE and Ramayan happened in 12209 BCE. What is your take on it?

Dwapara Yuga lasts 864,000 years and so Ramayana happened about 1 million years ago, when human beings and a previous species closer to apes lived together on earth. The 12k BC date is certainly nonsensical. As for Mahabharata, Prof Narahari Achar from Memphis, US and Dr Manish Pandit from Birmingham, UK conclusively proved that the war happened in 3067 BCE. They were able to date it such that all astronomical events mentioned by Vyasa in Mahabharata hold true. Nilesh Oak had good intentions, but either left out some events or used fake logic to justify some. He has been excellent in marketing his date, but his research is fake. When Lord Krishna was on earth plains I seriously think he spoke in earth years, right? Or was he crazy talking to Arjun in Brahma years when Arjun only understood earth years? So my point is he said Kaliyug will be only 5000 years and thus be very short passing period. Krishna came and went about end of Treta Yug. So it is 5087 years now. This gives a plus minus time to end of Kali yug. Lord Vishnu as per written down revelations is confirmed to be living in 3rd haven. His revelations of human will become old by their 20years is about to come true. Covid and other mutations which are said to be much severe will turn those living into zombie. They will turn old by 20s' as a result so is not far away. He comes at end as Kalki. The Satan who fought God has battle going on and is fighting Jesus who also comes from 3rd Haven. Signs it is strongly showing all things said will happen before arrival of Kalki and so is same about Jesus returning. I have proof from devil revealing his coming also soon. So is this Ghor Kaliyug or end of Kaliyug? If Shiva is Lord Lord Vishnu's father, than is Vishnu Jesus's father or Jesus himself. This matches with Sanatan principles and Krishna's revelation in my opinion.

I would like to talk about a few words on remedial measures in respect of bad past actions or karmas. I met one Saint from Himalayas at Tirupati temple when I was there. He opined that it is absolutely useless to mention either astrology or Hindu religion here. Anybody who is seriously interested to escape from the dark clouds of of past karmas, he must relinquish everything. That is the only thing that should be done. Firstly we must stop having our food and even water. Inflict maximum suffering to the body. How we beat a child when he commits a mistake, in a similar fashion this also be done. Thanks B.sudarsanan

His act of trying to manipulate karma is karma in itself. His free-will drives him to do so based on his resources that he has gained from the previous karma.

Another important point confirmed by the astrologer is whatever you face from others is your pre-programmed karma and whatever others face from you is their pre-programmed karma. It is because it is the same divine doing different roles (vedic metaphysics)

Of course protecting yourself...that's what your karma. See..for eg..some one raped me..then It is my karma to fight with him or punished him legally or by taking right path(how difficult may be the process/corrupt may be the system) so that he will not do the same with other..but not ending up killing his family members or him. Next important thing is not hide myself inside a room in the fear of getting raped or to avoid some kind of danger.Thats not how one should deal.In this way we block many things..sply the "process of living". We just have to do our work with alertness and consciousness.

My belief is karma phalans can’t be abolished by whatever means. By visiting temples and doing Sadanas, one might develop a mindset that will be able to reduce the impact of the pabha phalans. Any rituals you do to negate the pabha phalns will at best be postponing them, either now or the next life. Negations of karmic phalans, if possible, by any means will actually demolish the very foundations of Sanatana Dharma. The song of Sanyasi by Swamy Vivekanda Ji explains it clearly “ ‘Who sows must reap,’ they say, ‘and cause must bring The sure effect; good, good; bad, bad; and none Escape the law. But whoso wears a form Must wear the chain.’ Too true; but far beyond Both name and form is Atman, ever free. Know thou art That, Sannyasin bold! Say - ‘Om tat sat, Om!’””

Not fully. God has given dharma as guidelines. But he has overriding power to grant so much knowledge or wipe off any negatives, because he can perform even miracles to go beyond laws, which only he can explain the logic, but not by any means within the imagination of any of his creation.

Few question to Mr Rao about Jyotish :1. Does getting any puja done, making a pandit do japa for your graha dosha, wearing precious stones which has got some mantras done on them affect your karma or its for your mental satisfaction only? 2. If you do not start some thing on auspicious muhurat (or time), why should that matter? That time has nothing to do with your karma, or if some other time negates bad effect of your past karma or increases effect of karma how sound or just is karma it self which is affected by things like this. 3. Do you recommend that Govt of India or US should have fleet of Rajjyotish (like we used to have in India) which will check auspicious time for every major initiative (eg launching of spaceshuttle, surgical strike, launching Arogya setu or HealthcareMarket Place in US etc). 4. Do you agree that Jyotish not a science in the generally accepted definition that: Has evidence based , clearly defined procedures which will give repeatable results under defined conditions + have falsifiable hypothesis). 5. I have heard of this types of karma (which Indian have not) but am not sure which text book talks about it, or which text book has talked about it first. If I can get the name would be great. Let me try to figure it out like the layperson that I am. One has to accept the related concepts of karma, punarjanma, the efficacy of japa, mantra, sadharana, rituals,. The causal effect of karma is described in the Brihadaranyaka Upanishad, but in fact it is implicitly postulated in the other parts of the Veda as well. As to the possibility of mitigation and the power of deities, etc., listen to the expert.

Descending dwaapara yuga ended around 4th- 5th century AD.after a sandhi kaala( period of transition between yugas)Kali started around 5th century lasted for 1200 years and ended in 16 th -17 th century AD.again after a sandhi kaala then started Ascending Dwaapara.presently we r in ascending dwaapara past around 300 years.That is the reason why all mechanical and scientific inventions occurred in past 1-2centuries. When human consciousness gradually exited Kali(ignorance) and entered ascending dwaapara.Kali and satya occurs only ONCE in kaala chakra,treta and dwaapara occurs twice descending and ascending. I request Rajiv ji and PVR ji to read book Holy science available at Self realization fellowship centres (It has a centre in Boston also)That book contains the perceptions of A Rishi (jyotishya)which he felt in Nirvikalpa samadhi.may be useful to PVR ji in his study of Astrology.

@keshavan veera ragava "Holy Science" is the name of the book. It is a very small book, but very good. It is written by Paramhansa Sri Yukteshwar Giri ji, who is the very illustrious guru of Paramhansa Yogananda. Paramhansa Yogananda was sent to the West and founded Self Realization Fellowship. He has written "Autobiography of a Yogi". The book Holy Science by Yukteshwar Giri ji is unusual, as he rejects the usual duration of Kaliyug as 4,32,000 years and the duration of the whole cycle of four yugas as 43,20,000 years. Instead he relates the complete cycle to the precession of the equinoxes, which takes 24,000 years for the complete cycle from sat-treta-dwapar-kali-kali-dwapar-treta-sat. The descending cycle from sat-to-kali takes 12,000 years and is followed by an ascending cycle from kali-to-sat of another 12,000 years. The ratio of sat-treta-dwapar-kali are in the ratio of 4:3:2:1, that is 4800:3600:2400:1200 years to make a total of 12,000 years. But, 4800 is 400+4000+400, with 400 years as संधिकाल. Similarly for 3600,2400 and 12000. There are several youtube videos also that offer the explanation.

There are sub-phases within Kali yuga when dharma goes up and down. I am afraid the great Yukteshwar Maharaj *misinterpreted* some of his mystical visions related to such changes (within Kali yiuga) and came up with a *wrong* Yuga theory. Kali yuga lasts 432,000 years per shastras. Anybody with common sense and discernment can *clearly see* that we are in Kali yuga and *not* Dwapara yua. I mean, just look at the level of dharma in the world!
