I’m going to retire in a few months and lease out my home and moving to the Philippines. I was there before Covid and met up with my girlfriend and we’re still going strong. She’s 30 and beautiful and I’m 69 in good shape don’t drink or smoke and I’m very excited to get there Rob.

Starbuck’s instead of Batirol that’s only a few blocks away? We love Baguio and may end up settling there as my in laws love to go there several times a year. That little pond is part of Burnham Park named after Daniel Burnham who was quite famous in the US. I haven’t stayed at The Manor at Camp John Hay, but they have lovely gardens and an excellent weekend brunch. Not cheap, but worth it. In Camp John hay there are also houses to rent. They go for the National parks Lodge look with fake timbers, but still quite nice. Glad you enjoyed it there Chrissy.

So what does a basic Western style 2Br 2Bth cost to buy (yes, I know foreigners can't own property) in the Baguio area. Something like 125-150 SqMeters
@mikemcquinn67385 ай бұрын
@@Billy_B_Goat This has been about 13 years ago but then 3 bdrm 1 bath was average neighborhood was about 35 in Baguio. But it would run all over the scale to be honest!!!

@@robertclaus1102 - Please note that Baguio City is part of Luzon, actually Northern Luzon. It is cold up there & I'm sure you will like the weather. It's a small city & there are a lot of restaurants offering great dishes enough to delight you. Have a great stay in the Philippines! And by the way, there are several places worth visiting.

🤣😂Cool literally, I lived in Sausalito back in the early 90's for a couple years, you're right absolutely Baguio's mountainside colorful houses reminded me of Sausalito & Tiburon! And the tribe with the pink horses & their "Native" headresses reminded me exactly of my own Native American Indian heritage, which most or all of the Indigenous Native American Indians migrated 10's of thousands of years ago from Asia anyway but I immediately noticed the Philippines Indigenous people's clothing was wild! Great content on Baguio definitely adding the city to my list to visit in a couple months! 🥳

Haha, grew up in southern Marin and was in Baguio last year. I wouldn’t compare those two by any stretch. But I will agree the surrounding Baguio mountains are beautiful and the climate sublime. But the rest of Baguio is… the Philippines, for better or worse. Cheers, 🍻
@4GoHireAVet4 ай бұрын
@@columbus7275 Yeah my monthly "rent" on the waterfront in Sausalito back in 1992 could still have bought me 1/2 or all of the mountainside in Baguio even now!! 🤑😝🤣 So I'm heading out soon! Peace Brother!

I think part of it is that the hills create valleys, and the sounds of dogs and roosters just seem to project much further in Baguio because of this.
