If your hooks are sharp, theyll work. If you bump them on rocks or get stuck on somthing and snap it free, they dull. you can get hook sharpeners for those who dont know. Tight lines!

I always have a hand on the line with a finger feeling the line. You can feel the difference between rocks and a bite that way

Wasn't familiar either so I googled it. It's a split shot lead weight crimped to your leader about 12" in front of the bait. It'll help the bait stay on the bottom. If you watch the video again you'll see the split shot on the line hopping on the rocks in front of the lure. Cheers

I personally feel that nearly everyone is missing a major point about FFS in that it is a form of pure technology that FINDS FISH it doesn't actually CATCH fish and unlike a great new artificial luer or presentation method or combination of the two FFS requires no skills or understanding of when or why to use it just how to turn it on and learn to use it to locate fish Everyone KNOWS there is nothing more important to winning any bass fishing tournament than catching not just bass but bigger than average bass Again in MY OPINION there is absolutely nothing else more important to catching BIG bass and more importantly as big numbers of BIG bass as first FINDING them Once you have found bass catching them becomes a matter of finding the luer and presentation they want and getting it in front of them and FFS does this in much more effective and PRECISE manner than any other fish finding specific sonar can I agree with the statements made that by 2024 every single major high paying pro fishing tournament will be won by a pro fisherman using FFS Keep in mind FFS IS NOT a fishing luer it is a pure 100% technological advancement in being able to FIND fish during a professional fishing tournament and these tournaments are always held on lakes or rivers of 1000s of acres if not 10's of thousands of acres were again in my opinion finding fish is if anything slightly more difficult and more important than figuring out how to catch them My question is with technological advancements in fish location sonar like FFS becomes ever more advanced will it become more a matter of blind luck of catching a single large bass to win a major tournament or place in the top money spots? The question that needs asking is how many other forms of technology not luers or terminal tackle could be banned tomorrow and affect a professional fisherman's chances of being successful as much as banning FFS would.

Well a hellgrammite is the larva of a dobsonfly, and the soft plastic lure is a replica of it. Actual live hellgramites are commonly used as live bait actually Bass love them
