@@daveed496 I'd argue an uncalculated Junkrat who is still successful, is scarier. The calculated one you can expect to play calculated. The uncalculated one is a force of incomprehensible mayhem. Maybe they die on point, maybe they get a random 5k. You just never know.

I love this Junkrat because everything about their gameplay felt extremely lore accurate and I'm very much here for it. I don't care what their rank "should" be, I'm just happy they shared this game with us ☺️ it was fun to watch. good job trying to use high ground as much as you did, grabbing health packs when possible, and also, appreciating the voice acting by spamming hello (this is a crucial skill for overwatch players, which I'm glad you understand and appreciate).

​@@ringyringre: health packs, it's good to know where they all are (I highly recommend exploring during skirmish while you're in queue!) but as a support player, it's always good to ask for healing :) if a health pack is nearby, great, but it's our job to help you if we're close and know you need us, so please press the I need healing button (once or twice is plenty)! sometimes we don't notice lol

To think that there’s a significant skill difference between Bronze 2 and 5 proves how new they are. It’s all a train wreck down there. The fact that the video starts with him on high ground is probably all it takes to go from 5 to 2. The more I watch, the more I notice there are attempts at using their brain and that’s why he’s not bronze 5. High ground, health packs, playing cover, frequently repositioning (both himself and his traps), predicting tracer blinks (whether on purpose or not), popping ult as soon as he gets it instead of holding it until OW3…surprised this guy isn’t gold!

8:43 Silly Emongg, dps don't grab health packs! They spam the "I need healing" button while their supports are back at spawn so they can say "support diff" at the end of the game!

Incase the OP sees this, here are a few tips: 1) Junkrat mines launch people (and yourself) away at a 45 degree angle upwards from the mines location. If you want to jump forward, make sure the mine is behind you etc. 2) Play LoS more. You don't need to be seen to spam a point. Shoot over objects, bounce bombs off walls etc. If you can be seen, you can be killed. 3) When you have a bap, always stick with him when he has ult. His ult takes your 120 damage and doubles it! All of your boosted bombs will kill in one shot... 4) Don't put your trap in the open, use it to block flanks. Put it where you think a tracer or sombra might go and try to keep it there if you can. Doing this will keep your backline up. 5) Ping traps when you set them so your team has a vague idea where to keep an eye out for trapped enemies. Your trap is no good if there is no follow up. 6) Use the ping system more. This is a general tip, but clicking middle mouse button pings enemies, traps, turrets or just locations. Use it to shot call low targets or buildings. *EDIT: Bonus tip)* Your ult is VERY loud. If you run the tire into a wall for about a second, it actually makes it quieter for a bit, so if you want to sneak your ult to point, run along walls. Your ult can also wall climb if you hold the jump button while running into a wall.

I played 70ish games till I unlocked ranked, then played 7 to get placed last season. I ended up being in platinum 2 and it's awful, just because I can aim decently from time to time and have common sense doesn't mean I should be as high as I am. I like playing ranked because the payload game mode is more fun, but I can't have fun. It sucks

I don't play a lot of junkrat these days but is it just me or is it hard not to be chaotic when playing him. 😂 It's like his personality just merges with mine and I thrive at the chaos. Well I do some calculated plays from time to time but it's mostly fueled with the thought of "oh it's kinda funny if I put a mine there or someone flies off cause of the mine boop"

It's not that you're "too good" for Bronze 2, it's that everyone else in Bronze 2 is equally bad! But being on highground at all, getting health packs, trying to shoot ahead of your target, these are all things that elevate you above Bronze 5.

recognizing your positioning is bad is part 1. part 2 is knowing where to be and just be there it made all the difference for me because that positioning changes every metal rank.

gold is very possible to get through! the key is to play a lot AND never play during the first 2-3 weeks of a season. if you're improving, you'll climb.

Rat's use of mine is questionable, n allergy to healthpacks. But has really good target prioritisation While he might be new player, OW is a brain game, IQ matters. Good effort on trying to flank n adad his tire, usually low level junks just ult in open n only move straight at the enemy path

I know Junk is a spam hero but I really dislike that this player spams their mines on cooldown. Sometimes it's better to have one available. Ult positioning is questionable but i don't see anything in this game that doesn't mean this person can't climb again once they worked on their mistakes
