Rebecca Albrecht Boy. I didn’t even realize on what a huge scale they really did amazing engineering feats! I especially love the pathways they created for the water flow, retaining the beauty of the terracing, and preventing the runoff from destablizing all their great work. And doesn’t that water flow sound wonderful in all their channels etc

When I was in Cusco volunteering, our housemother always made us dinners. She didn't speak much English but her sons were bilingual and helped translate for her. Well, we all gleefully ate whatever she provided (it was always REALLY good food)- and so one night, as usual we were served some sort of meat dish and we all chowed down. After we had mostly finished, she comes in and casually points at our food and says "Guinea pig pig, you like?". A series of gasps were heard around the table from various volunteers, some were trying to spit out what remained in their mouth and others feverishly laughing, it was a commotion! And then she started cracking up and let us know she was only kidding. All the volunteers continued to ask her sons to clarify just to make sure we didn't actually all get tricked into eating guinea pig. I thought it was hysterical, even though I was slightly disturbed at first thinking I had consumed one (I have always owned a variety of small mammals), so as much as I wish I was brave enough to try exotic-type meats, I am too coward!

Whilst the feat of engineering involved with man building these incredible towns upon mountains, the natural life forms of those mountains, their utter beauty and majesty just makes you think that something bigger and more lovingly beautiful created all this. Celtic Highlander&AHook yes, we tried the bicycle route... our daughter spent days teaching him to ride it first with stabilisers and then on his own. First trip he lost control and went into a hedge. A couple of weeks later I went to get it out of the shed to try again with him and it wasn’t there. When I asked him where it was he said someone must have stolen it. Odd as the shed was locked? Oh yes the little fella had sold it! He couldn’t remember who to etc. He’s always been enterprising!

Jajaja, mi mother didn’t like to eat cuy also, she always said they look like rats. I know it doesn’t look to good. But I learn to like it, it depends how you prepare it and at the end I like it. It is an animal with a lot of protein and no colesterol, it’s the best food for the people who has cancer and I’m fighting with it for 15 years. If you go to a Gastón Acurio restaurant “La Panka” in Cusco, his cuy is amazing. Like I said it depends who and how they prepare it. That was good you came back to Ollantaytambo, even if it has to many stairs. In the jungle the spiders are bigger. Poor you scare
