I'm retaining the 16V 4AGE engine in its USDM specification with the stock intake (since it's a California car). The only modifications I've made are swapping in a 7-rib block and a TRD 4-1 header. I'm also running the Car Stage Twin Power exhaust, and I'm quite pleased with its performance. My next plan is to address the bodywork and restore the car with its original silver/black two-tone finish. Eventually addressing my mismatched interior. I intend to stick with 14" wheels, I'm really eager to acquire the 2324 edition TE37s. The transmission will remain a T50. I've also made some performance enhancements, including an Illegal Garage clutch, Annex street coil-overs with 7k front 4.7k rear swift springs and a Kazz 2-way LSD. I've owned this car for 12 years, and it's still a work in progress. It's worth noting that here in Northern California, I've seen 30-40 of these cars in one place at most so 300 blows my mind.

My father had a German spec LHD AE86 notchback when we lived in Deutschland in the 80s and 90s. We had fun doing German touge! He passed away in 2017, so this exposé was deeply personal for me. Arigatou gozaimas Dino sama!

Quite literally AE86 Heaven! I watched the Option video as well and there was a crew dedicated to converting their AE86's to US-Spec. LHD cars and US only trims were lined up. Always fun to see the complete opposite perspective from Japan where here in the US everyone wants to make things JDM. Makes me want to build an 86 one day!

Dino, I love how you can instantly spot wheels and name them by brand. Nicely done as always. Are there MR2 meets such as this in Japan? Would love to see one and have you video it someday if possible.

Thanks! Haven’t yet come across mr2 specific meets but it’s Japan, so 100% they would have that too 😂

Wow that’s a lot of AE86’s out there. Here are some of the things I notice in this video: few Initial D replicas of Takumi’s AE86, a few LHD AE86’s and surprisingly, the AE86 of Keiichi Tsuchiya is also present. Speaking of tec arts, did tec arts already owned that LHD AE86? Because if I remember correctly, in their youtube channel, Kamata-san build an LHD AE86 that was brought by a customer from US to have it build and restomoded by tec arts and have it displayed at sema show in las vegas probably 2021? But anyway another nice content as always Dino.

That wud b Puerto Rican heaven!!! We absolutely love these Corollas n the older ones as well. I had an 81 1.8 notchback 30 years ago that I regret so bad in selling. 😢 If i would’ve known how much those twin cams wud b worth now I would’ve bought a few of them n stored them away until now.

Great car show, don’t see any 86’s in Canada anymore. Pretty sure that was a 58 Chevy not a Cadillac.
