Hey! Thank you, glad you enjoyed it. 🙂 We spent some time travelling around the NZ South Island a few years ago in a motorhome which was one of the big inspirations for wanting to build our van. It would be great to go back at some point and explore the North island as well, you have a fantastic country 😍

Another great trip video. Really glad to hear the drying room function of your bathroom worked out, that was a good design. Love the story of Logan Rock, I had to look up some details, amazing the locals didn't make it much worse for the Lt. who had his men move the rock. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you, and yeah it's an interesting story isn't it, must have caused quite a stir at the time! Very glad we put in the drying room, it's been really handy not just for drying out coats and things after it's been raining but also for full on laundry mode if a tumble dryer hasn't worked 😄 We've added a few suction hooks and put up washing lines in there now as well so we can hang things a lot easier 😎👍

Those were some beautiful beaches. Living in the center of the US, I've only seen the ocean a handful of times. I can't imagine what it would be like to have access to all of that with the walking path connecting it all.

Yeah it's a really nice part of the country and the South West Coast Path is incredible, 630 miles of almost continuous paths all along the coast. We're very lucky to have it and all free and accessible as well for everyone to enjoy 😊

Haha you're welcome, yeah it was very changeable when we were there this time, some lovely sunshine with a lot of mist and the odd storm thrown in for good measure! Definitely one of our favourite parts of Cornwall though 🙂

Are you guys still down in Cornwall? That weather doesn’t look like what we are currently getting 😂
@SelfBuiltStories5 сағат бұрын
Haha yeah, just a bit different (well apart from the storm that we had pass through maybe!). Nope we're not there right now, we'll probably venture down there again at some point when there's a bit more chance of warm sunshine again 😄

Well,that's another place screwed. Hordes of vans will now descend on this place,the locals will be pissed off,then the council will put height restriction barriers up. Thanks, guys...not.

Where have you been for the past 5 years? Pedn Vounder has been incredibly popular since Covid and the car park at treen even allows overnight stays for vans, so no they are not about to put up a height barrier. Also it’s only really busy during the school holidays.

It's great to be mindful and always question these things so thanks for that, but in this case it's a privately run car park and nothing to do with the council. We had a nice chat with the owner as they were walking around and they welcome vans and overnight stays, which is quite well known as they have been doing so for many years now. It works in conjunction with the campsite as a holding area when it's full so they're very used to vans, and the signage makes that clear as well. What they don't like is inconsiderate vans who treat it like a second campsite and pitch up, putting up awnings, leaving litter and lightning fires. It's a car park at the end of the day and it's a great setup if you respect it and and help to support the local area. We've been there several times now and like to visit the pub and cafe, stay at the campsite and grab some bits and pieces from their very handy shop. It's abusing facilities and services that gets them shut down, always being respectful and considerate of the rules is encouraging and helps show more areas that they can work if done correctly 👍
