After last week's disasterous video of the old 18v brushed chainsaw, this week we see if that trend continues with the Ryobi 40v 14in BRUSHLESS Chainsaw RY40530. Will it be just as bad or will it function better as a chainsaw?

I like the fact that you actually used it on different sizes and types of wood. Good video.😎

Thank you, I wanted to showcase its ability in different cutting scenarios. It is my go-to saw at my place, even above my gas powered ones. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Hmm, mine (same model) came with a nice thick full-size chain/bar cover.

Nice!! I was wondering if they came that way from the big box stores....mine was a factory reconditioned that I picked up for 50% off over at Direct Tools Outlet, they are supposed to come with all of the accessories but apparently mine didn't. Whoops! Now I'm wondering if I can pick a cover up for cheap. :) Thanks for watching and leaving the great info!

Wish it had a chain break. Hate when cost cutting results in excluding safety features.

Indeed, I prefer a standard chain brake as well. Fortunately it does stop pretty quickly when you let go of the trigger but having the added physical layer (even if it is an on/off switch controlled by the traditional brake area) as it makes me feel way more comfortable. I also prefer to have metal dogs (bumper spikes) instead of plastic ones. At least give me the ability to upgrade the saw with real metal ones. Cost cutting should never come at the cost of safety and I really dislike it when companies do that. Thank you for watching and commenting.
