My parents bought my 6139-6005, December 1975 for $145 at Macy's. It is still my everyday watch, and was recently serviced on Blair Watch Channel on KZbin. I saw this reissued version last night at my local AD. I had my 1975 Pogue on my wrist, and did not pull the trigger to buy the reissue. Nice review.

Found a new yellow SeikoSpeedtimer at the Camp Pendleton MCX yesterday for $475. Just couldn't resist it at that price...has the yellow dial. In 2015 found a 1976 blue dial Pogue at a thrift store. The clerk was bringing it out to the display and I noticed it was a Seiko...I asked how much he wanted and he said "Two ninety-nine" and I said jokingly "$299.00" and he said no "$2.99". I didn't know anything about the watch until I realized it was an automatic and then I looked up the model.

The current Speedtimer in Pogue finish is a nice-looking watch but the original Pogue is an icon that can never be matched. On top of that the 70s Pogues were automatics that were outrageous value for money at that time.
