The look back mechanic is just so fucking perfect, it could've flt like gow4/5 where it feels mechanically necessary or only purely cinematic, but they made it work perfectly since you have to be able to assess the horde behind you and fend them off with the uv light in order to make an escape while looking awesome for a montage.

While I agree, some things are far better in DL2 in my opinion, like combat and parkour, but 2 does lack the same atmosphere but is clears Dead Island 2 almost everywhere, still a fun game though.

I’m about to buy the game just for that since my issue has always been that once I reach the city/town part, I’m kinda op and there doesn’t really seem to be any enticement to keep going and getting more powerful. I’m hoping the mod really improves the game for me.

@Saigaiii haven't tried the mod but my main thing when comparing 1 and 2s combat is that 2 just has so much more moves, making a lot more combos possible. Would be fun to try the mod out though

I'm a relatively new Dying Light player. Played for the first time back in June/ May shortly before I went to Summer Break. I am usually not a fan of zombie games, but I was always a fan of parkour games, so I was unsure if Dying Light would do it for me. *It did do it.* I was hooked. I loved the mechanics, style, art, story, gameplay, weapons, you name it. I was only able to play it at my uncles house. Thankfully it was on sale so I asked my dad to get it and he agreed to. I finished the story recently and I am so in love with everything I am EXTREMELY tempted to do it all over again. One of the best games I've ever played, hands down.

Good video The original Dying Light was my favourite game for such a long time. I am one of the it seems like few that actually considers Dying Light 2 to be a improvement in almost all areas so it has become my new favourite. There is just something about the atmosphere and the flow of movement that always draws me back in.

Agreed, DL1 atmosphere is superios in every way, but DL2 did improve the parkour, combat and on many other things in my opinion (not the ragdolls, sadly). But DL1 just has a charm about it ya know, always feels good to go back there

Dying Light - The game, that made me love zombie games and parkour genre. I always feel somewhat depressed when I see the Dying Light game-plays, because I know I can't play it anymore, as my current PC at the moment of typing this can't handle the game anymore (I played it on 10-20 fps before). But at the same time, I love seeing that this game is still alive at some point. Also fun fact: I got to legend level 250 before realizing I had the DLC and had like 70 billion money or sum

What made it special to me and really memorable was the first night when you burnt the antazin, just the sheer terror of the volatiles screams their appearance in the radar with them appearing one after another with me just armed with a pipe in addition to my limited stamina and constantly thinking i might fck up my jumps and sht was terrifying , to this day nothing could top that experience

Because for the life of me Dying light 2 I just couldn't get into, I tried but it just didn't gel with me, first one is way superior, then when I think on all zombie games in general Dying light 1 is probably the most fun I've had in any zombie game I've ever played, I'm also pretty impressed on how well it performs on the switch, how on earth does it look so good? Yeah Dying Light 2 had many problems behind the scene: the original writer being fires so the whole story was a rush job in a few months, they moved to a new engine mid devlopment and many other things that went wrong, but now they have worked out the kinks and The Beast is basically just DL2 dlc but as a standalone so the technila state is problably gonna be good. Let's hope I don't have to eat those words lol...
