Is the Behringer U-Phoria UMC2 the best Budget Audio Interface? Yeah, but you should still watch this review please. I got this Behringer UMC22 interface a couple of months ago (after my Behringer UMC 404 met a tragic end) and I've been very impressed by the quality you get for the price. You can check it out in the link bellow.

Would you recommend this or the M-track solo. I'm just looking for something to replace my mini amp.

I haven't used that one but it looks pretty nice. I would say M-track just because the drivers for the UMC22 are kind of a pain in the butt

@@Adrian_ and would you say that an audio interface is a viable alternative to a mini amp? Space restrictions. Portability is a huge factor for me. I'm currently using a Laney Mini, but want to upgrade.

I have one of these, and bought two more - one for each of the other guitar players that I work with. They all work great, no complaints from anyone.

@@CharlesNotBronson it's pretty good so far. Headphones sound good, although it only has 48v phantom power, so can't plug in an elec mic, or line in. The combo XLR part is nice tho.

@@CharlesNotBronson Fair enough, it's more on the side of convenience. In terms of recording quality, it's good enough for my needs, but jk has reviewed some better specked stuff at similar prices these days.

I'm going to throw in my two cents here: I found the audio quality coming out of this thing pretty much unusable. I record classical guitar and do live processing of the electronics (so no ability to do post-production noise cancelation) and I found that the noise to signal ratio was too noisy to be usable. I think if you're doing metal / distortion / music where clarity of the original isn't an issue, this is probably fine, but I ended up upgrading to a Motu M2 after a few months, and it is SO much better.
@sandnerdaniel

MOTU is good gear and is 24bit. But it is also five times the price of UMC22.
@BrianEllisSound
@BrianEllisSound 4 жыл бұрын
@@sandnerdaniel yes, those are all true, but given my experience, spending any money on the behringer at all was a waste of money

@@BrianEllisSound That's interesting, I haven't had any issues with my UMC22. Guitar works well, even with heavy distortion. The mic preamps are good (made by Midas). The latency is also very low, it handles large Ableton projects better than my Komplete A6 interface. I see no reason to upgrade

@@henrychew5604 The UMC22 doesn't. I found the driver by accident, I think Behringer should've made it clearer for people. It doesn't need Asio4all but people think it does
