Hi! Hope you’re doing well, I was interested to know if there is a difference between analyzing my tournament games with chessbase/chessify and using the lichess engine instead?
@journeytograndmasterАй бұрын
Yes, it's all about the speed. Chessbase engine would depend on your computer speed. Lichess has the slowest speed probably but is free obviously and is okay if you can briefly analyse the games, check the mistakes. Chessify is much faster but you have to pay for it. The engine itself is the same normally, stockfish (also free)

I didn't understand a single thing about these coins and why you need to buy coins if you are paying monthly. 😢
@journeytograndmasterАй бұрын
Yes, it's a bit complicated. Basically, you need coins if you want to use the engine at higher speeds that you can included in the respective plan.

What's important to remember is Chessify now allows Apple users access to very powerful chess software and very large chess databases. Moreover, you don't need to spend thousands of dollars buying a gaming computer in order to run your chess programs. I do have a question: does Chessify have a game download feature?
@journeytograndmasterАй бұрын
Yes, of course. You can just copy it from there or download as a file (if I remember correctly). Anyway, it should be no problem for sure

So how do we know if the chess players who run this site are not stealing and sharing ideas for other "special mafia" membership ?
@journeytograndmasterАй бұрын
haha, that's an unexpected point of view. I guess, you can't really check or proof it. You just need to trust. I would bet though that these guys are much more decent than social media owners :)

Why exactly do you throw such accusations? Does it make you feel better? I was not paid anything. Chessify gave me their software for testing and asked for my honest opinion. Which is exactly what I gave, indicating pluses and minuses of the software.

@@journeytograndmaster A lot of KZbinrs do reviews of products they're actually being paid to promote. It's best to say up front that you aren't being paid, although some people still wont' believe it. That's the world we live in now.

@@journeytograndmaster So why do you have a referral link in the description? Looks like an ad to me
@journeytograndmaster2 ай бұрын
@@someoneunknown6894 "paid actor" means (at least to me) that I am paid to say something I don't actually believe, so pretend or lie basically. And that has nothing to do with reality. I was just given a software and asked to make an honest review and give my opinion. There were no requirements, scripts. And also no payment for my words. I said exactly what I think as a customer of the service. I never recommend anything I don't like/use myself. Therefore, I totally disagree that I am a paid actor. That is my point.
