Is this the best terrain set for Infinity?

In this video I look at the terrain Kickstarter project that I received earlier this year. A great kit, especially for those who play Infinity and don't have a lot of space to keep the terrain needed for a board.

This is amazing stuff! I already have 6 or 7 Battle Systems sets, because I live in a small apartment and need something for my "Coffee Table Combat" © videos (though it's technically the dining room table)... so the modularity of having anything from 24"x24" to 32"x48 is appealing. I love the table tiles and how the buildings go together - way better than Infinity buildings! I might just make a late pledge!

Living in Japan, this has been a great set for quick setups and easy storage. Haven’t touched my infinity buildings since getting this except for making comparisons.

Yeah, I had a bunch of their sets for making terrain for Malifaux. They worked out well, but filling an entire Infinity table takes forever to make and then storing it is the problem. The reason I liked this set so much is that I can make a full table in 10 mins and pack away in 10 mins.

How durable are the structures?

I have found them to be pretty durable. I don't get many opportunities to get the set out these days (no Infinity scene in Osaka) but I have not had any problems with it so far. The card stock used is waaaaaayyyy better than the old Corvus Belli sets from Red Veil and Icestorm. They can take quite a bit of weight as well when put together.

Nice vid. Before watching I thought this would be laser cut terrain from how it looked so I'm surprised that it's cardboard. Looks like some good kit if you can afford it. I'm foolishly going down the 3D print route for building terrain, which trades cost for time and materials (and frustration at ruined prints), but it's good that there's different options for everyone.

I would love to get into 3D printing. Just space is such a commodity here in Japan I think my wife would kill me if I picked one up. I would want a resin printer, but I am afraid of the fumes and chemicals with my daughter about always bursting in on my hobby room.

This looks similar to what Corvus Belli would have in their 2 player starter boxes.

I make a comparison in the video. I really liked the Corvus belli terrain because it can be flat packed, but this terrain set is far more elegant, damage resistant and faster to setup. The new Corvus belli terrain is now much sturdier, but takes longer to build as it comes in pieces.

There is limited availability for the kits as he is one man and needs enough demand to make the print run worthwhile. It is probably best to follow when he does Kickstarters as they are usually the best time to get a copy. I believe he just finished a Kickstarter for the Epic terrain, but also is doing a reprint of the Cyberpunk terrain. There may be a possibility of a late pledge for that if the design is of interest to you.

@@ZombieSashimi might not be a bad shout!! My club has people interested and i want to run some games though my terrain game is crude but functional. My other option is spend €200 on MDF but then there's transport/assembly/painting issues
