Im doubtful about it but I really hope that support continues onward. Having basically reworked the majority of the game it would feel wasted to not do a second year of support especially considering the huge vehicle changes coming next season.

i have to say i got a stroke that kept getting worse when i listened to the latest podcast from Dice. No idea what gave them the idea that the Wildcat needs any more buffs. And why explosive spam against infantry is bad, but adding airburst AA is a good thing.. But when i really had seen it all was when they talked about the Bolte. This has to be sarcasm on their side. No way they think the Bolte is getting picked more often (instead of the MAV or Brawler lol) by making its glass bulletproof and replacing the 30mm gun with the 50mm gun. This cant be serious....

@@Bugfield2042 Really? I find the 50mm far better for both, one hits on infantry are so much better then the 30mm that blooms like hell and also seems to take 15 rounds to kill anything. The splash damage is nice though.

They ultra buffed Wildcat, didn't remove TOR, Buffed all AA, Jet just got lil jet rework; the jet loadout is still so weak, AT missiles still suck, 30mm still suck. Locking on anything is a pain I'm sad

the C-ram getting placed into the heavy vehicle category seems wrong considering the wildcat basically having the same weapons and the ram’s low health and it’s maneuverability. The bolte which is already good how it is is getting buffed with 50mm i’m somewhat alright with it but bulletproof glass? better make it move slower then and also having AA more accessible now? I mean i guess considering the new jet rework and bolte buff adding more counters against the OP air vehicles balances it out in a way but the air vehicles are mostly good if they’re out in the right hands but most players don’t know how to pro-pilot vehicles making them such an easy target. DICE focused on the POV of try hard players in my opinion. But other than that i’m actually pretty hyped for this season

I really worry about the 20mm flank on the LATV. It's gonna make flying helicopters(especially the little bird) hard. There's a lot of anti-air options being added in the season like the fixed aa in map. Hope that dice increases number of air vehicles because one attack heli, transport heli and jet is not a lot against all of that

my favourite moment in bf2042: starting the game in the jet, INSTA lock on by wildcat while getting chased by enemy jet, using flares and then dying either to the jet or the second round of lock on rockets from the wildcat across the map...

im still paranoid after Battlefield 5 and Battlefront 2. they canned both games at their peak like it was nothing, after over a year of improvements. and im seeing a lot of unsettling hints about 2042's path i genuinely cant put up with another case of this. if they kill 2042 before the year is over, im not gonna buy the next BF title unless its god damn groundbreaking for the gaming industry. lets say if they do kill off 2042 after this, how much should we bet that the next title will launch an incomplete mess, while also completely deviating from the type of game we wanted? with how the EA guys talked about the coming game, i have every reason to be scared about the future of this franchise

Honestly I think they should remove the grenade launcher they added it’s so frustrating since having someone hit you with those plus all the vehicles with cannons getting removed from vehicles that would really help decrease the explosive spam maybe put it as a pick up or even as a secondary that has two explosives and nerf the radius or velocity of it.

Year 2 content seems viable with paid season passes or upgraded edition of the game, but this would almost certainly split the playerbase. I think it would have to be free live service content in order to avoid maintaining two releases of the game. But then, how would this new content be funded?

It won’t be. I have to wonder what kind of people are paying for BF2042 battle pass/skins/etc NOW, seeing as how disastrous the game was/is and how few people play it. That’s why I can’t imagine year 2. Remember, we were never even promised Season 5. It’s “bonus.” This is their farewell letter to us.
