it's cool that your not like some bands/artists who will put a copyright claim against anything that remotely resembles one of their songs. Cool people like you make the world a better place.
@vinchazz Жыл бұрын
did you know herman li got copyright claimed by his own band one time ?
@evriph Жыл бұрын
A lot of times it's actually the label that holds the rights to the song that does it, for all we know Sanctuary Records (copyright holder of Inhuman Rampage) might have copyright claimed the lego guitar cover video.
@xnetpc Жыл бұрын
@@vinchazz that doesn’t surprise me. These companies aren’t going to take the time to determine who the legal owner is, they just check for audio that matches something in their catalog and claim it. It puts the burden of proof on the person getting the claim made against them. If these companies put more effort into Checking for legal use instead of claiming illegal use and waiting for someone to tell them differently, this would go from being passive income to an actual job

Once heard an example, of how an amazing guitarist, typically doesn't look at an amateur & insult their lack of talent, maybe even suggest they shouldn't even try. That type of criticism, even if meant to be constructive.. only comes from those who DON'T try, let alone see themselves capable of doing what you're trying to do. Herman Li is a living example, glad that I'm in my 30's now & he's still drawing inspiration from his own fans.

Even though the video is just 90% editing, that other 10% worth of transcription and combining everything together with the other tracks makes this video mesmerizing. I have a feeling that the dude who proposed that specific song did so to be a dick. Well, joke's on him. But I would like to see the guy add some sort of "fret stop" for the fretting bar (I'm not sure what you'd even call it, but it's like a single note capo 😆) so that it could actually be reliably played live, rather than needing to clip the sound of each note and stick them together for a composition. I say that because: 1) Having a band exclusively play these managed to go to my "Top 5 Thing I Need to See Before I Die" list 2) My wife is obsessed with Legos so I wouldn't have to try hard to talk her into getting one (or a few) 3) It's whimsical
