According to the Book of Revelation, we are told that we can “And [the beast] causes all people, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free and the slave, that they give them a mark on their right hand or on their forehead, and that no one was able to buy or to sell except the one who had the mark-the name of the beast or the number of his name.” (Revelation 13:16-17)
But what exactly is this mark going to look like?
Will it be a tattoo on our foreheads? A computer chip placed on our arms?
Someone’s actual named affixed to our body? Will we know it when we see it? Or is there a hidden meaning in all of this that prophesies something we could never even imagine?
For centuries, people have asked these questions, wondering when these things will happen and how we can prevent them. And I’m going to address all of these questions and more in this episode of Beyond the Words.

To get Old Testament, jaw dropping info like this, read The Rational Bible series by Dennis Prager. Three Books of Moses have been written and they are real page turners. There’s also one about Passover. I can’t wait until Dennis does Numbers and Leviticus. I’ve read the Bible, but never understood the culture and meanings before. English translations from Hebrew can be sorely lacking. eBay has these Genesis, Exodus, and Deuteronomy series for about $20 each. So worth it. You’ll see.

You won't be tricked into taking this mark, the Holy Bible says that an angel will be flying above shouting out warnings not to take it. Anyone that takes this mark will do so by their own choice. Revelation 14:9

Sabbath is a foreshadow of Jesus Ressurection(Sunday). Sabbath(Saturday) is a day of rest in the Jewish tradition part of the law. Jesus said He is the Lord of Sabbath. He ate with His disciple with grains in the field during Sabbath. He heal many times during Sabbath. 17But Jesus answered them, “To this very day(referring to Sabbath) My Father is at His work, and I too am working.” 18Because of this, the Jews tried all the harder to kill Him.(John5:17) “The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath. Therefore the Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath” (Mark 2:27-28). Jesus is making a point here that Sabbath is a foreshadow pointing to Him. Jesus said He is the resting place. In Matthew 11:28-30, 28 "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am [a]gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”( It means Christians must have one on one personal relationship with Jesus. Pray and meditating His words are two-way communication with God and a Christian everyday.) We will rest in His words and we will be comforted.

One problem: Nero was dead when John wrote Revelation. So the number cannot be referring to Nero.

There's debate about when John actually wrote Revelation. The standing idea that it was maybe around 95AD was never more than an approximation. Other believe it was written more around 60AD.

nope. its a stamp of the beast on peoples forehead. a stamp with a symbol that is connected to the beast. they stamp this symbol on your head and it shows your allegiance to the beast. it also goes on the right hand as well or probably the wrist.

These are not visible symbols. Revelation speaks symbolically. This is about our minds being made up to serve the Creator God, or to cave in to false worship. It is also about taking the economic bribes that the false system of worship will offer. If you do not conform to this false system of worship, you will not be able to buy or sell. The Sunday law is coming and the final test is about seventh day Sabbath worship or false man made Sunday worship. Listen to the great prophecy preachers like Prof. Walter Veith and Pastors Doug Bachelor or Mark Finley. We need to purpose in our hearts to obey the God of the true Seventh day Sabbath: Saturday not Sunday. 🙏🏼 ❤️🌟🌟🌟❤️

Brandon, thank you again for another informative and excellent lesson. I believe the rapture was first taught by the American Puritans in the 1600s. Then many novelists started using the rapture as the background for their novels. Now that premillennialism is prevalent in American Christianity, it’s causing a lot of extra anxiety for our brothers and sisters. I hope lessons like these will comfort them. Once we all get to heaven we’ll understand God’s great plan.

Those saying that all of Revelation has already happened… how about Rev Chap 8? When did that happen? I think many things could have dual prophecies like Isaiah. John may have been writing and referencing current events - but it is also intended to tell us of a coming reality. Revelation 8 sounds like an asteroid striking the planet and killing a ton of people. I don’t remember that happening in John’s time

It’s Jewish apocalyptic imagery and is not intended to foretell anything. It’s symbolic of catastrophe and conveys the feeling the author was feeling being persecuted in the first century.

The book of revelations is directly connected to Daniel. The two together are the story from Babylon right until the end of time. We are living in the last chapter now. Study Walter Veith "total Onslaught" series if you want to know the truth and test him, test every word and see if you can find a better study. I have tried and there are none.

I grew up with the theology of a pre-Trib rapture and anti christ and the mark of the beast; it’s pretty enlightening to learn that most of revelation has already occurred based on the Roman’s persecution under Nero. Many "Christian teachers" are minimizing or symbolizing the mark of the beast, possibly due to their unwillingness to accept the suffering inherent in true faith. This attitude can be seen in contemporary interpretations that trivialize prophetic signs, such as vaccines or other common examples on the internet. However, the true nature of the mark of the beast is that it will never present itself as something clearly evil, and many Christians will be deceived into thinking it is not. It is crucial to be guided by the Holy Spirit to discern the truth in these times of spiritual confusion.

Yes, there is more truth in your comments than Brandon and many others understand. That is because it’s all about whether we will Worship man or God. Revelation tells us “Worship God.” Obey His commandments including His seventh day Sabbath. Sunday worship is Not of God, but of the papacy. And “all the world wonders at the beast,” because he is able to charm the whole world- for his own power and glory. Brandon needs to listen in to one of the great Prophecy experts like Doug Bachelor, and others who have studied Prophecy carefully for over one hundred years. He needs to get this right. It's all guess work by these KZbin influencers. He doesn't really know, it is his own take on what he has read. The trouble with biblical passages such as Revelation, is that they are very unclear and alittle vague. I guess it is up to the readers to interpret the scriptures individually. Which is why countless scholars are still trying to make sense of such writings. The guy might be right, equally he may be way off. The only person who knows for sure was the person that wrote such passages and they are long gone.

The revelation was given to the first century church about the persecution that Nero was about to enact upon them. Everything you read in the book of revelation, either figuratively or symbolically happened during the first century between 33 A.D. and 70 A.D.

Decent analysis. I've been aware of it for a long while. HOWEVER, the prophetic nature of Revelation does not constrain it to a single time frame. The book seems to be a "meta-narrative" that seems to echo across time as the events it describes seem to have pre-echoes of prophesy being fulfilled as well as post echoes fulfilling the terminology again. If I was to assign a simile - it appears like a fractal - a large pattern that is built of similar patterns. If Solomon was to describe it - he'd probably say: "What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun." - Ecc 1:9. It was given by the One who was, & is, & is-to-come. The overall take away from this, is that Revelation is a very unique piece of literature that will be fulfilled, & fulfilled, & fulfilled as patterns of events on the timeline match the descriptions given within Revelation over, & over, & over until the re-creation of all things. Its timeless nature is the aspect of it that has God's fingerprints all over it. A wise man watches for the patterns that occur in his day. Because they are occurring.

well Its not like on monday they roll it out and on tuesday they cut your face off for not taking it. Thats exceptionally unlikely how things would work in any situation. It would be incremental persuasion, pressure, aggression, ultimatum, loss of access to services, loss of rights, imprisonment etc etc If you'd expect that right out the door then you'd be more susceptible to taking it on the grounds that they just socially coerced or rewarded you for doing it rather than forcing it on you like they might on people who consistently refuse it. The vaxx in various nations/companies where it became mandatory, ultimately started as voluntary for example. If that turned out to the mark of the beast down the line , escalating until we had an obligatory vaxxed ID to use the supermarket (etc) then most christians would be screwed right now..

The Bible talks about the Laodicean Christians having to prove their loyalty to God by rejecting the mark and being beheaded. They are the ppl Rev. 14 specifically refers to as the 144,000. It is clear because the opening verses state that these ppl are "firstfruits". That is prophetic code for truly converted Christians who were called before Christ's return. It is _these_ ppl who will be martyred by the political beast.

Yes this is true. The Mark will be Sunday Worship forced under the guise of climate change. They did it once in the past a long time ago to route out the early Christians. Those who rested on Saturday and not Sunday were not allowed into the markets, then their houses were taken from them and eventually they killed them, the soldiers in ancient Turkey Constantinople even threw the babies in the air and caught them with the ends of their spears. Everybody thinks the MOTB has to be a literal mark, but just getting a mark isn't a violation of our faith. Definitely not to that extent. It certainly could potentially be partly literal. Be it a computer chip or whatever, but again that by itself doesn't mean anything. It has to come with something that will violate your conscience as a Christian. The bible says that people worship the beast. So it has to do with your allegiance. There are examples in scripture where all people had to do was throw incense into a fire to pledge their loyalty to some false god. It could likewise be something simple that marks you symbolically as belonging to Satan's last kingdom. It's important to keep in mind there are two marks. Satan marks his people. We know that as the MOTB, but God marks his people too. That doesn't mean Jesus is literally returning to the Mount of Olives with a Sharpie. If you're afraid it's literal, avoid literal marks, but perhaps more importantly, be careful who you pledge your loyalty to.

@@denisestacey3681 Essentially, at the time the MOTB emerges God's kingdom will technically be ruling alongside the 8th king. People will have more than enough evidence at that time to decide who they want to serve. If they choose Satan's kingdom at a time when God's kingdom is active it will basically be a sin against the spirit, which is an unforgivable sin. We only have one known example of the unforgivable sin in scripture. That was when the pharisees contributed the power of Christ to Satan. The reason why that was a sin against the spirit is because they had witnessed Christ directly preforming miracles. To not only deny him but to contribute him to evil was a sin against the spirit. Similarly, when Christ returns to sin against the kingdom at that time will be unforgivable.

This is the first time I've ever seen someone list these out as clear and precise as you have here. I want to say ok.... I want to hear more!! I have always had so so many questions and I think that a lot of what I was taught on this growing up was used as a scare tactic. It has only been in the last couple of years, that I have not been so afraid of reading anything to do with end times prophecy. I was genuinely so scared, that I would just shut down if it was being taught on. I dreaded these times and I think it even effected my outlook on going to Heaven, if that makes any sense🤷‍♀️ I grew up with images of a literal sword coming out of the Lord's mouth and it wasn't until I was sitting under a different Pastor and he simply and matter of factly said that the sword coming out of His mouth was His Words. Just as in Creation He Spoke, so it will be in that day. This lightbulb went off in my head and I thought, well duh Jessica, what is our Bible referred to as? His Word and that it is sharper then a two edged SWORD!!! I got so so excited and that was it, I was ready to learn all that I could about these Times. I actually had tears fall while laughing at the same time, wanting to just stand up and start clapping!! It is very good to be told the context and background of Bible passages. That information has been muddied, questioned, and dismissed as either inacurate or fable for too long, more so since the start of the Enlightenment movement. I will question one item in this video about Nero. Although his name, when converted into numbers, does add up to 666, when John wrote the book of Revelation around 95CE, Nero had been dead for almost 30 years (he died in 68CE). Yes, he may have been 'the beast', but he was more likely to have been 'a beast', a foretaste type of a final one that has yet to be. There appears to be too many references in the Old Testament to a time of great trouble for seven years that has not yet occurred for the beast to have already occurred. We call it the 'tribulation' today. It is also know as 'Jacobs trouble'. The book of Revelation also notes seven years of trouble, as well as 3.5 years written as either months (42) or days (1260 where 30 days is treated as one 'prophetic' month). I expect there will be a final beast whoes name calculates to 666. However, because the Bible contains prophecy, we must wait until the prophecies have occurred to be able to correctly interpret them rather than trying to pre-define what they mean. Trying to definitively pre-define what God's prophecies mean and how they will occur is sin and equivalent to being a false prophet. Pre-defining prophecy leads many astray and causes the love of many to grow cold when the human pre-definition fails to occur because people built their faith on the human pre-definition instead of a relationship with the one who gives the prophecies - God.

Let's Remember If we have broken one law it is as if we have broken them all. That does mean that if you told a single lie, you are as deserving of death as those who has killed, or even hates their neighbour. So we must stay clam and allow God to judge a righteous judgement. We are told to be doers of The Word. That doesn't mean just a third of it. It is said that if something is given to a person it will hold no value to them. That they need to work for it. The harder they work, the more valuable it is to them. But what if someone desperately needs what you have. You worked years for it and you know how great the value is, but the receiver won't. Would you give it to them knowing the odds are they will never use it or they may even just trash it? But what if someone was to give you the information so you can search it out for yourself so it will save you a lot of time, could you then appreciate it enough to use it? If we show you how to achieve the crown and sword of God would or could you finish seeking out the other six pieces to the armour of God? We are to be the salt of the earth, do we hide the salt or set it on the kitchen table. Or would you hide a lit candle or set it on a coffee table? So we show you how to receive your crown and your sword, it is found in Deut.6:8-9. And now what you do with it is up to you. Go be a doer and prove all things with The Word or do you just figure you got this and ignore it? If you are not yet convinced to search out the truth then maybe this will. Jesus is The Word, John 1:1-5 The Word God spoke: Exodus 20:1 The Word God wrote: Deuteronomy 4:13 and The Word God made flesh John 1:14 Jesus is the law that hung on the cross as well as the law God wrote upon our heart. Brandon I have to disagree with you. I’ve spent years in studying Revelation. I have a good understanding but of course there is so much more to learn. What I have learned is Revelation is apocalyptic/prophetic literature. Apocalyptic in the Greek is apocalypsis and means “unveiling of secrets” or “revelation.” John was given this prophecy by Jesus to communicate “the things which must soon take place.” The beast from the sea is the Antichrist and the beast from the earth is the false prophet. This occurs at the midpoint of the Tribulation. During the 7 year tribulation there are Seal, Trumpet and Bowl judgements. This is the time of God’s wrath, His judgement on living unbelievers. Of course there are Christian believers at this time and they are marked as the Lord’s. The 666 or mark of the beast will happen in these end times. People (believers) that do not receive the mark (signifying they belong to Satan) will be killed if they are found out. The second advent of Jesus occurs at the end of the tribulation period. Surely you know this. Yes, Domitian was horrible and Nero too, but we are not talking about them at this time in Revelation. I don’t follow your teaching about the number 666 and who that person is. I’ve always followed what you are teaching and going to scripture when I had issues which has been hardly ever but this time I cannot agree with you.

Study Walter Veith "Total Onslaught" series, I have heard all the preachers on this subject and this series is in-creditably hard to deny, he even invites you to test every word. He knows the truth, and the early Christians also knew. You'll get every detail, every prophecy in detail to the date. The Mark is Sunday worship, made official when it is forced. The beast is Rome, the little horn is the papacy (the bible even has the year written when the papacy emerges). Its so clear once you see it it is like scales falling from your eyes and suddenly all the weird things going on in the world start to add up and you can see the common thread. They have already begun the Mark's implementation, its called "Earth Sabbath" under the guise of climate change we will be forced to rest on Sunday. It will happen

I'll get straight to the point, The Bible speaks of Tribulation and The Great Tribulation. Tribulation accounts for numerous times Christians where persecuted, history already informs us about this. My Dream 01/17/24 I was in a drive thru. When I arrived at the window all the workers were talking about the car who was there prior to me. I saw devices that were connected to the wall of the drive-thru window that had two different forms of payment options. One was for credit cards and the other one was a type of scanner. The car who was in front of me was the very first car to use the scanner. The person had a digital ID with a digital currency microchip in their hand. They did not have to use money or a credit card.
