Great review, I purchased this pack, the top pocket is way way too small to the point it's almost useless in my opinion. Everything else about the pack is great. I do love the outer fabric.

Reminds me of my CHZ22 from Evergoods...the Bellroy looks nice but the quick access pocket is pretty small like you stated. If someone has the extra funds, I would definitely choose the EG bag over this one but that's just my opinion.

The $90 one or the $30 one? If the $90 one provides a better experience than the 3 $30 ones, then what was the better choice?

However, it is not a compressible backpack that can be folded down completely flat. The backpack measures 19.7 x 12.6 x 6.7 inches, which is slightly larger than the maximum size allowance for personal items on airlines such as WizzAir and RyanAir. Typically, personal items on these airlines must measure no more than 40 x 30 x 20 cm (15.7 x 11.8 x 7.9 inches) including handles, wheels, and any external pockets. It's important to check with your airline's specific size requirements for personal items before purchasing a backpack to ensure it meets their guidelines. If you need a backpack that is specifically designed to meet airline requirements, you may want to consider a travel backpack that is marketed as a personal item or carry-on bag.

You're not kidding about the small size of the front stash pocket. Absolutely tiny! I can't fit my glasses case, and iPhone (not max) barely fits. Shockingly small.

@@RushfasterTV I'm curious about the width of the bag. You seem to measure the bag about 11-12 inches wide but still "confirm" the official measurement of 8.7 inches. If the width is really 12 inches the volume could really be close to 20 l. Probably more like 15-16 l but still more than the official dimensions suggest.

Another suggestion that Bellroy gives the wrong dimensions is that the bag is supposed to fit a 16 inch laptop. The 16 inch Macbook Pro 2019 measures 14.09" x 9.68" (35.79 cm x 24.59 cm) meaning it's wider that the specified width of the bag that's supposed to fit it.

Bellroy's dimensions are literally wrong for almost all of their products, they always measure the narrowest portion of any side. Even on their slings for e.g. they measure zipper length vs measuring the entire width from middle. They're weird.@@ferinaf3070

Thanks for the great review. Does it fit a 16inch MBP? Even though website specifications say "padded 16in laptop sleeve", MBP16 has a width of 9.8in and the width of the Via is 8.7in
