Is Top Path Still The WORSE Crossbow Master? (Bloons TD 6)

Ethan i think hes good when the bloons are stacked like in races were the pierce is capped or smth but i recently used 2-0-5 and 2-0-4 crossbows for ct

Alchemist gives it extra attack speed which helps mitigate the effects of not having 025, but pierce is also really easy to gain with a 3xx/4xx village. But that also gives it more attack speed, so I guess it’s situational.

"dumb tower" is used to refer to the wrong crosspath, been so for a very long tile

I feel like part of it is that it would be overwhelming for most players to see complicated stats screens, and also they want players to experiment and try funky suboptimal setups and not always go off of stats alone. Still, having the option of more detailed stats for advanced players would be nice.

It could be optionally enabled, but if you've ever tried to convince a friend to play a game that DOES default to showing you all the stat details... you'll understand why Ninja Kiwi doesn't

in btd 5, the gimmick was adding pierce you take a 1 pierce tower, 01 village it and it becomes 2x as good in btd 6 the gimmick is damage take a 1 damage tower, add 1 damage to it, it becomes 2x as good if they want a crosspath to be better, buff the damage. (plus it kinda makes sense bc like slower shooting -> more damage, they can use the same reasoning they used for more tacks ring of fire)

the mixture dip can stack up to 30 shots, so addibg another 2-0-0 alchemist would help

i feel like 205 is waayy better late game where you're more likely to be peirce capped, but then again attack speed buffs better so i don't know

If you need more pierce and have buff (such as Homeland Defense, and alchemist) then yes

I don't think Crossbow Master needs a major buff to make it stronger, its already the tower that carries all standard games up to round 80 depending on the length of the map. If you're going late game, you need a lot more than one buffed monkey and your favorite hero

Issue is other towers outclass its use of a carry to round 80. The sun avatar is just the crossbow master if they were good. The elite defender is a cracked tower for any map. The pod is better for expert maps. Also the crossbow master has an issue of not really having a really good hero thats clearly a good pairing with him. Tier 5 towers should be the thing to make a major inpact late game not fall off at the end of round 80

Answer: no. Pierce is just way cheaper to upgrade than attack speed, and the free overclock from middle path is still just better. If top path had five or ten more damage on crits, it might have a niche as an unbuffed crosspath though

204 seems good since there are so many child bloons in the mid game. I would still rather have 025 for the Xbow Master.

Dps is king. It's gonna be tough to beat it. Same with ultra jugg. I'm not choosing more pierce lol

Top generally equal to or worse than middle crosspath. Its still a decent but mediocre tower/path.
