Hanson is correct, unfortunately this is the real world and Trump understands the mindsets well. It is also unfortunate that too many americans are less interested in this and more interested in the silly social aspects of society, just making it difficult to do these necessary things.

That is how the Roman Empire fell. Read history.
@TheWorldsprayer10 күн бұрын
@@fastted9390 No actually it's not. Rome's issues were not from over expansion, quite the opposite it was expansion that allowed Rome to hold on for so long. Technically Rome's farthest reaching territories continued on in Roman fashsion for almost a thousand years after the western empire fell. It was actually when Rome began establishing borders they had no intention of expanding beyond that the collapse began because the wealth that came with expansion dried up and allowed the following to become critical issues: Rome's issues came from severe reliance on slavery, devaluation of its currency, decadency of its people (because people watching shows plays and gladiator fights aren't working and producing essnential goods), and breakup of traditional roman values which were about hardworking, valor, and growth of self and family, and the ultimate unwillingness of the technically wealthier men (landowners or sons of land owners because that was a requirement) to serve in the military because they would be protecting vast numbers of people wholly unwilling to contribute to society themselves. The unwillingness to volunteer forced rome to invite foreigners into their lands to then take up land and THEY became part of the military...and then turned around and stabbed rome in the back. ...sound familiar at all?
@SimonOBrien-be8qt9 күн бұрын
@@TheWorldsprayer Decadence? The people became more christian, and the "foreigners" fought hard for Rome. Stilicho was one of late Rome's best commanders. Aetius fought the Huns with the Visigoths. And the majority of Romans were and remained peasant farmers, they were not watching gladiators all the time.
@TheWorldsprayer9 күн бұрын
@@SimonOBrien-be8qt Rome went through a very similar form of urbanization that the modern world has where the population as a whole began actively moving into cities. If anything about christian history should teach you, it's that just because a society has the label of "christian" does not mean it is not decadent or immoral. And yes many commanders were in fact foreigners because as with generalities there were exceptions, but you should read up on exactly how the visigoths went from what should have been the latest round of imperial immigrants to the sackers of rome. they werent some army marching from without but ultimately came from within the borders.

Australian system makes it close to impossible to replicate a Trump there. Even if there was some guy who is independently wealthy with decades of experience in business, television, and as a celebrity that person would then have to form a new political party and hope that his celebrity would draw in enough support to become PM. Much easier to break through as a true outsider in the American system where the people choose who the party’s leader is rather than the politicians making that choice.
