Up here in New England almost any ride involves mud and it usually cakes in every nook and cranny of the bike. I also do all my own repairs and maintenance and I can't deal with working around dirt. So almost every ride the bike gets washed with a low pressure spray to get the heavy stuff off. Then I spray the entire bike down with Spectro Motorcycle Wash, let it work a few minutes, then rinse the remaining dirt off. When dry, I use Tusk gloss on the plastics and WD40 on the chain and moving parts.

Add the "Pressure Washer Quick Connect Nozzle Kit, 5 Piece" from HF, and you'll like that electric pressure washer even more.

A vehicle that is frequently cleaned means less dirt in places it shouldn't be. Seals, bearings, eyes when wrenching.... I like the aesthetics of a bit of mud splatter on rockers behind the wheels on Radio Flyer, but that's about it.

I know you paint cars and stuff so you might debunk something I was told 20 years ago in high school... Someone told me that using dish soap would ruin a vehicle's clear coat?? Like would you wash the super bee with dish soap?
@TermiteOffroad7 ай бұрын
No I wouldn’t use dish soap on a car that I cared about the paint on. The de greasers in it strip wax or any protective finishes you’ve applied, and are generally harsher on clear coats.

@@TermiteOffroad thanks for the clarification!

@@theadventurousrider I use it when I’m wet sanding alot of times. It’s a good way to insure a clean grease/wax free surface before paint.
