@@lauracristina7286 thank you! 😀 This video didn't get much love when it first went up (2 views!) but I'm glad a few more people are getting a chance to see it now 👍

Some time ago, I told someone that I write what I know -- meaning what you said. The person I talked to instead took it to mean that all my writing is a 1:1 fictionalization of my real life and desires, maybe with names or places changed. For example, a story in which I introduce characters by making them neighbors, who get to know each other and eventually embark upon a relationship, meant that I have fantasies about my own actual neighbor. I had no idea how to explain what I really meant, especially since by that point they were convinced of their misunderstanding and thought I was lying about the real meaning.

@@joywagner979 haha 😆 oh no! Yeah I've encountered this before too - I honestly think there are a lot of people who just don't "get" fiction, just like there are people who don't have a sense of humour... and of course there are people who pretend not to understand so they can just freely attack others 😬

If you ask me, I think this video is almost better than your video about strong or less strong female figures. This really is a topic that we all face practically every day: the struggle to survive in a world that we only partially understand. And that the important thing in movies is not to spread our own world view (which appears in almost every Hollywood movie these days), but to explain why someone thinks the way he does and to make it entertaining with comic exaggeration. Thank you very much for that. I also liked the reference to the current political situation, more and more people are now really noticing it and perhaps something can still be saved in the fight against the increasingly oppressive state and its allies. But I still have one question: What are the names of the films in the introduction? I know Trainspotting, of course, but what is the name of the movie with the little blond boy from 00:16, and the movie with the two guys in the red car immediately after? Ah, sorry, one more question: Can I assume that you originally studied theatre, film and media and are now trying to use your knowledge to generate a second source of income? Once again, I wish you every success. And it's true, sometimes you might just need a push, some guidance or some basic motivation to achieve something.

Thank you so much for coming over and checking this one out! 😀 The movie with the blonde boy is "This Is England" by Shane Meadows, a very talented British filmmaker! I highly recommend this movie, as well as his earlier one "Dead Man's Shoes" starring paddy considine (of house of the dragon fame). The film with the red car is A Bronx Tale. It started out as a very personal one man play by Chazz Palminteri and it got made into a film by Robert de Niro. Both De Niro and Palminteri star in the movie 👌 it's a good coming of age story. I have never officially studied film-making or media but I've always been a writer from a young age and it is something I hope to pursue professionally. I have had a few stories published under my real name, but nothing major at present. I still work full time in an everyday sort of job so I'd love it if the channel got monetized - it would allow me to move into part time work so I can spend more time on creative things, including videos! Thank you very much for your kind words and encouragement, it's really gratifying to hear people are enjoying these videos 🙂
