You've put the rod holding the pads in from the wrong side. Theres a recess on the other side for the split pin.

I hope these are actually an upgrade, because the ls400 swap is honestly rubbish

These are bigger than the LS400 swap, I think with the DBA extreme pads they will do very nicely indeed!

@@LimiterLab the grabbing force is ok on the ls400, its the cooling ability that they lack, of i do a few solid pulls on the road for a bit of road tuning and end up getting on the brakes a few times, by the the 3rd or 4th go, i need to cool them off a bit or they start to fade.

@LimiterLab oh yeah, thats the other thing, in aus your only options are oem spec stuff for pads, and dba discs are disconnected, leaving you with oem spec options, or vmax brakes in Melbourne being the pnly aus dostribitor of amy sports variant of disc

Does this mean that ISF calipers and rotors could also be fitted if you wanted to go bigger again?

Absolutely 350PHI also have kits for the ISF

What HEL kit did you use? Mine had the generic connection to the hardline with a locknut, not using the OEM spring retainer. I bought the IS200 kit, CBK044.

I got LEX-4-001 off ebay, it seems they are the import ones as CBK044 are on the Australian site, I'm not sure why there would be different items tbh

does the cbk044 kit still work? thats the one i ordered as well but not yet swapped over

@@thecookeman yeah, the locknut just holds on the stock bracket. I wasn't happy with that though and made same spacer bushes to locate it properly. I wouldn't buy HEL again though. There are better kits out there, or just go to a brake shop and get a set made.
