When tapping anything, you need cutting oil/tapping oil, works better than penetrating oil.

this video is great, how have you found the upgrade so far? I would imagine the stopping power would be considerably more with the extra 4 pistons over all and 80mm larger rotor diameter.

There’s a slight difference in performance during normal braking. I did have to brake hard once and I felt it stopped a lot quicker. I did this set up because this car is getting turbo so if your going bbk on a budget this is probably the best option to have.

Have you noticed much of an actual gain from installing these? I already have the calipers and 350phi kit but I'm kinda thinking about bailing on the install as it will limit my wheel options and I've heard some saying they don't notice a difference with the bigger calipers. What are your thoughts?

I think it should . 2008 GS350 front calipers is same as 2IS IS350 calipers. Compare via cross referencing OE part numbers to confirm

its more the idea of large rotor size and brake pad surface bite. That's the performance portion of why upgrade to IS350 caliper setup.

stock IS300 wheels will not fit after this BBK conversion, you will have to get IS350 stock wheels to throw onto the car. 18" wheels at the least

Yes, definitely need to bleed the brakes when doing this. Anytime the brake lines are open, the brakes should be bleed for air in the lines.

So these calipers don't use a RCA spacers like the ls400 bbk? Does adding the is350 calipers lower the car?

The is350 calipers and rotors won't lower the car, the hub is unchanged

Unfortunately we don't have stock wheels anymore. There is a high chance it will probably not clear though

​@@412JD to tell you the truth, I am not sure. I suggest doing research of people going from IS250> IS350 Brake upgrade on Forum posts to see what they say about AWD vs RWD. there is chance that the caliper is the same but the difference is the rotor, but again I do not have a definitive answer for you, sorry.
