The love that this man showed was so tragically honorable. Because his wife died, he turned himself into a monster that even other monsters feared. When he learned that his son betrayed him, he respected his choice but he only showed sadness. When one of his followers / friends showed him that his loyalty was truly real, he reminded him, just like his wife, that there is indeed good in humanity, so he saved his life even though it was completely against his wishes. The love the Dracula had for people may have been shown in different ways but it was 100% pure, the man truly loved the people who were kind to him and those that he was kind to.

Man Dracula is SUCH an amazing villain.

In being willing to die for someone he eventually ended up on the path of learning how to want to live. It was glorious seeing this man who valued life so little because of how badly he was treated to finally finding happiness and a sense of purpose in nobody else but himself. We see a lot of stories of people sacrificing themselves and dying but we dont get to always see a lot of stories of people seen as side characters, marked for death, getting to live again.

Isaac's character arc in this show should be taught to writers as the shining example of character development

I forgot how good this show was. Isaac is the one with the genius, the knowledge, and the will.

Isaac was seriously one of the best characters of this show, and one of my favorites in general. His dynamic with dracula was so interesting.

The most inspired series of the decade. Issac’s journey is unbelievable. We just can’t seem to get this on film. 🎥 😮

Seeing this scene reminds me how fucking great castlevania was and especially how amazing a character Isaac is. His own personal growth, his views on life, and his own desires. One of the best. “They convince us there is no future, only an eternal now. That is no way to live, and I’ve discovered that I am interested in living.”

The sheer anguish in his voice, knowing that he wouldn't be there to defend his Friend, is heart wrenching.
