Stance and wheels and tires can make or break the look of a classic car like your fastback. You nailed the look. Great looking wheel and stance for that car!
@Wooley689Сағат бұрын
The dots on the tires are there to tell you the high and low areas for balancing. Yellow is the lightest area and red is the highest areas. Really helpful with motorcycle tires and often if you use the dots you won't need weights.

I have 15x7 cragar SS mags on my Stang with T/A’s of course! Same size on all 4 for rotation…. Makes the standard steering feel a little “heavy” but she handles well after I installed a steering damper to deaden the “death wobble”! Good luck!

Can’t beat the look of those classic Halibrand wheels with knockoffs. As for the engine a mildly hopped up 289 with Paxton supercharger works wonders! Steering and suspension bits can be found everywhere.

The rims look great! Especially with the spinners on there, it does help make it look more, I don't know, period correct maybe? Something like that. As for the dots, I always used them when mounting the tire, I know that the manufacturers recommend it, so, ehh, why not.. love the Mustang, love the video., and I look forward to seeing more.

Definitely like the new rims...super sharp! For the dots IME it's best to check with the tire manufacturer. Usually red dtot(s) are where you want it with the valve stem, but not always. Otherwise usually yellow is acrossed from the valve stem. But not always, it really can be manufactuer to manufacturer, or plant to plant, or maybe even tire by tire. I mount my own motorcycle tires and using the "dot" method have NEVER had to rebalance the tires. Literally never, and that is checking their balance and then NEVER having an issue riding at any speed...and let's just say my bike is pretty fast.
@dougsnova139 минут бұрын
there was 2 reasons people lifted the back end . One was to fit wider tires and in the case of a Mustang . They were well know for sagging springs thats why it had the extended shackles and in case you didn't notice it has a helper spring added on it also. Many had the trunk rust out and the shackles would break through into the trunk. I've had and repaired more than I can remember lol

I use American Racing VN47 Vectors, 15" x 7", with 60 series BFG's to drive around on in the old Valiant. It has 1.08" torsion bars, XHD V8 springs from JRSpring, Bilsteins shocks, chassis stiffening (subframe connectors, torque boxes, core support reinforcement, A pillar/inner fender reinforcement)- it is very stiff, but the 60- series tires help keep the ride livable.

Old rims from the 70's-80's can have porosity & hairline cracks. i always paint the inside of the rims all the way out to the beads to make sure they seal. I also do that on riveted 2 piece rims as i have seen leaks at the rivets when the aluminum corrodes against the steel over the years. i usually use cheap black paint from walmart and do a few coats. May be worth it to you to try on the slots as they look good on the stang.

Never understood the appeal of those first set of wheels you had there Ike. I do love spinners and the black with chrome ones though! Wheels can make or break a vehicle. Definitely an upgrade. Careful with those Douglas tires in the rain though man. I had some on my old 86 S-15. Terrible and they looked brown over time rather than black, no matter what I did to them. Love me a fastback. Good video dude!

The wheel design is like what came on the Shelby Cobra's. To me they are fitting for most Ford muscle cars. It looks amazing. You should thrash on your 57 Chevy for Hot Rod Power Tour 2025. It's a shame to see an American icon sitting with stuff stacked on top of it. And you have two of them. I'd love to come help you for about a week on it. The hardtop (Sport Coupe) is very tricky to get the side windows and flippers adjusted and working properly. I specialize in them. I have a couple videos on my channel of flipper adjustment. At the end of the day, I'll watch any video of you working on anything.
