Isabelle huppert has 62 years? It seems she was 30! I love her in the piano teacher, so beautiful and incredibly smart! One of the best performances I've ever seen!

It's beautiful how sometimes such a brief phrase strikes a cord and stays with you for a lifetime. Godard's "the face of suffering," or for me (though it wasn't said to me directly)--Alexander McQueen articulating his vision for his stores as "a cave filled with light." Brevity can be so profound.

It's funny, I wasn't aware that she was in Godard films and I haven't seen anything in her early career, but I was watching her in Haneke films thinking "this reminds me of Godard films somehow" the whole time.

there are not enough superlatives for Huppert. a very underrated film; my first Godard, back in 1980, at the late, lamented cinema studios.
She has aged so well, compared to her average look in her 20's.

+Onmysheet Isabelle is about 10 years older then Bette Davis was in 'What Ever Happened to Baby Jane.'

She was NOT average looking. I mean, she was no Isabelle Adjani but she had that magnetizing aura that French and Italian actresses of the time possessed. She was haunting and fascinating. Her quiet and introverted beauty was captivating. She looked like a painting and that's one of the reasons all those iconic european movie directors have fallen for her (she has one of the most accomplished careers/filmographies in the industry)
