Link to the bike: www.iscooterglobal.co.uk/products/u2-ebike (Thanks to ISCOOTER for sending me this bike for review and apologies that I've tried to destroy it). Discount code: U2eb(-30£) The motor is 350w, not 500w as stated in this video - sorry for any confusion. Final thoughts. Yes, I know that I called the manufacturer INISWHEEL and not ISINWHEEL - blame dyslexia (which I don't have but for the purpose of this video I identify as dyslexic...) In this video hopefully you will appreciate that I have genuinely used this bike. At the time of filming I'd gone just over 70 miles on it and the later video (linked above) is a 200+ mile review. I never have and never will accept payment for reviews and if something doesn't measure up to my expectations I will not publish a video, I just contact the company who sent it and ask to return it. You will see from the state of the bike in the 200+ mile review (linked above) that this bike has been given quite an unfair thrashing, just as I do with any other bike I own - yet it has held up extremely well. Therefore I have no problem recommending it to anyone wanting a very affordable commuter bike which will perform extremely well for many years under normal conditions. I accept that I'm probably in the 1% of people who rides like a man possessed every time I get on a bike, hence all the broken bones and scars on my body..... I genuinely love this bike and it is a joy to ride. I've seen a few reviews on other channels where the 'reviewer' has had a problem with catching their feet on the front wheel when when turning corners but they are riding using the arch of their feet on the pedals with over half their foot beyond the pedals. I have not had any problems with my feet catching the front wheel, even when turning tight corners at speed as my feet are properly positioned with the ball of my foot over the centre of the pedals instead the arch of my foot being over the pedals - how anyone can ride flat footed is beyond me but if you ride properly the distance between the front wheel and pedals won't be a problem for you (unless you are wearing clown shoes). However.... Not everything has been perfect with this bike and I've had to tighten one of the pedals and headset after the first 2-3 decent rides ..... and ..... that's about it in 200+ miles of riding. Everything else I've had to alter or repair has been down to my brutal treatment of the bike, riding style (or lack thereof) and a bad crash I had on my last ride (which I explain in the 200+ mile review video). Feel free to ask me anything in the comment section and I will answer it to the best of my ability. Thanks for watching and check out the other videos on my channel. If you check out the website link at the top of this comment / video description you will see that ISCOOTER also sell some crazy electric scooters which look awesome and the speed / battery life on some of them is very impressive. @iscooter #iscooter #iscooterU2 #ebike

11:52 - my personal favourite part of the video - I love that you turn back then continue your thought! I also agree with the speedo on the screen showing a maximum of 19.9 MPH...I tried to test to see if it actually went faster (it CERTAINLY DOES!!!)...but even if the speedo is changed to kmh, it shows a maximum of 32 kmph - which is because I think that, to be 'legal' (over here as well) and be classified as an e-bike it cannot exceed that speed (officially)...
@ThousandYardStare
@ThousandYardStare 7 ай бұрын
Yes I think that makes sense and is the most logical reason for the 19.9mph limit on the screen. In the UK the 'legal' limit for an e-bike is only 15.5mph but in most other countries I think it is 20mph and while I'm not a fan of man-made laws and regulations I can kind of see the limit reason from a pedestrian protection point of view as electric bikes are very heavy compared to most normal bikes.

We are considering a couple of these bikes. Thanks for the in depth review. Well done. Certainly looks like good value.

It definitely is great value and I have been all over the local area on mine. Hills are no longer a challenge and riding everywhere is a pleasure. However, since it is a commuter bike (for roads) I still ride my mountain bike for off-road.

Great review Richard! Amazing the value for money. If you want a mushroom hunting companion for a little more money check out the Fiido Titan fat bike. Just got one and it's a monster! Ideal for fat chodhoppers like myself 😂

That thing is a monster. I'll stick to bikes which are legal to ride on UK roads and a standard mountain bike for off-road since my wife would go mad if I got arrested for anything and to be fair I have to carry a bike up steps to store it. With the Fiido Titan I'd have to start going to the gym again just to lift it.

Great video. Tried to get one of these yesterday from iScooter but they have sold right out until July

(my other channel) That's a major bummer as it is a really good bike. I wouldn't have featured it on my channel if it was no good. I love it as I can go up into the hills for a great bike ride then call back by the supermarket to collect some food for the next few days - great stuff.

@@pondguru yes I was hoping to get this for my wife as a retirement present, hopefully be back in stock in the middle of July for the bundle. You can have it in white though that is available but she wouldn’t like a white bike, no good for the Tarka Trail near me she would have to clean it everytime lol . Cheers

@@TheHoodooMan Yes, I have a mountain bike in white and it always looks mucky. My other mountain bike is black and can definitely go longer before it needs to be cleaned. However, having said that if I was riding on roads or good quality multi-user tracks all the time then the bikes would stay cleaner for much longer - in the next video (200+ mile review) I did on this bike I'd done over 220 miles and it wasn't horrendously dirty even though I'd been on a few fields with it in that time. It will probably get a wash before my next ride.

Sir...a note from Toronto: I just purchased one of these beasties...and it's pronounced: 'EYE-sin-wheel' (crazy name for a bike, though)...My main issue is the pedals being too close to the front fender, when pedaling through a turn...rather sketchy, that. Nevertheless - it's basically a good 'entry-level' e-bike for sure. I've been in communication with 'Isinwheel' and explained that they either need to cant the front wheel forward 1 1/2", or perhaps sell a set of 'shorter cranks'...Thanks for your video review...!

Yes, it confused me that they would produce a bike which has this problem for many riders since the industry standards for frame design and sizes must be easy to replicate given how many well functioning bikes there are on the Earth. Even after 300+ miles I've never had a problem with my foot catching the front wheel, even when turning tightly or at speed but that's because I'm so used to using the ball of my foot on pedals (my other bikes have always had small SPD pedals I click into).

I don't understand how this can be legal in the uk with a 350w motor and a throttle? The maximum output must be 250w by law and throttles that can propel without pedalling are illegal. Is this a legal ebike or not?
@ThousandYardStare
@ThousandYardStare 4 ай бұрын
I was confused about the output when I made this video as their website said the motor was 500W, then that was later changed to 350W but that is 'peak output' with the motor definitely being rated at 250W - it has 250W stamped on the hub of the motor so is the same as other UK road legal e-bikes as far as motor output goes. With regard to throttle that does not have to be fitted and the maximum speed is set at 15.5mph which also brings it in line with other road legal e-bikes. It is user choice to fit the throttle or increase the maximum speed. Hope that helps. I'd imagine that police in cities would be vigilant with checking e-bikes to see if they were 'legal' or not since there isn't anything more important going on in the world.....

@@ThousandYardStare more than explains it. I value your reviews immensely. I'm finding purchasing an ebike frustrating and it was nice to see a simple one. Thank you.

@@nightlite9009 No worries and I'm glad you find value in the videos since I only review products that I do use myself. I use this bike almost every day for rides between 5 - 25 miles depending on whether I just have to visit the post office or I fancy having a proper ride up in the hills. I'm intending to do a follow up video very soon when I get to 500 miles.
