@@musiyevonchilla6769 Being powerful isnt inherently equivalent to being cancerous. The same way some players like 10-deck formats, others prefer a tier 0 formats. And as long as that only occurs once every 3-5 years, for a 3-4 month or less period, I dont see what the huge issue is. What's the problem? There are different skill sets required to be successful in a mirror match format versus formats with lots of variety. Some may accell at knowing how every tier 1-2 deck performs, every deck's combo lines and when to handtrap every deck.Whereas some players enjoy a format where the game comes down to having the same tools as your opponent, and the winner determined by who is superior with those tools.

Tear is just not as good as people remember, it's like with old games where you go "the visuals are great it doesn't need a remaster/remake" and then you boot up the game and see the actual visuals are bad but your brain filled in the memory blanks so it looks better in memories Most people don't know much about tear besides "tear 0" and "tiaraments strongest", based on their actual results they aren't "even" as good as snake eye for example (lower average representation and lower ycs win percentage) Ofc it's a very strong deck, but without custom side decks and non engine most matches between modern/mr5 cbc decks will go to a game 5 as going 2nd is extremely difficult in these circumstances (snake eye was one bad topdeck away from losing to spright after hand trapping them 4 times for example)

I have a question. How does the CBC determines which deck goes first? Spright almost defeated Tear there thanks to it going first again just like the last time. It puts decks going second in a huge disadvantage.

Welcome to Yu-Gi-Oh xd. Luck is factor in this game like it or not. Also, luck decides your opening hand, that's important because you cannot search nonengine (side deck in general). That's a factor a lot of players refuse to accept but that's how it is. Edopro replays don't save the rock/paper/scissors like duelingbook replays unless I'm missing something, so we can't see that 🤔.
@frankartanis129017 күн бұрын
@@sejotejerina3732 I have seen similar cross banlist tournaments where each decks takes turns to choose whether they want to go first (usually this means the players take turns to go first). Weird sequencing in g4 from spright, with those talents they could've tried to snipe one of the backrow with destruction, maybe even activate fountain beforehand to bait out the known cryme and then take elf/merrli that elf reborns in response, make gigantic and get another starter from get (rulk negates activations) and go from there Sure they don't have access to the runick engine this way, but tear is on nothing but a rulkallos after elf gets banished by smashers so pure spright can easily do it from there
@ssengageisop395218 күн бұрын
Yah spright had some lines with the destruction
@MistBestWaifu218 күн бұрын
Doesn't the Merrli still mill even if you take it? I'm assuming the I:P vs talents ruling applies in this case. They milled a shuffler and miller so they can keep you off all monsters on field. I may nit be understanding what you're trying to say tho
@andrejv.283418 күн бұрын
@@MistBestWaifu2 if they chain elf to talents to reborn merrli and you take her you'll be the controller on resolution, which is when the window for her effect would be So you can mill 3 as the runick spright player if you want to, but that's only good if fountain is up They can also go talents to draw, but yeah parlereino could pop merrli and perform a fusion summon, most likely for dragostapelia Activating fountain could also bait either the pop, in which case you take with talents and maybe win, or the cryme, in which case you're relying on 2 random draws against an additional dragostapelia as the spright player
@MistBestWaifu218 күн бұрын
@andrejv.2834 That's the OCG ruling. Look at the TCG ruling for such interactions. Say you have I:P and your opponent uses talents to take and you chain I:P to it to bring out S:P and they take the S:P. On resolution you (the player who summoned S:P) would be the one who gets to activate it even though your opponent controls it. I don't see why it would be ruled differently for this interaction. By baiting the pop are you talking about Perehlerino? There's no reason to pop the field spell on their turn while you have shufflers in the gy unless you are scared of giving them one draw
@andrejv.283418 күн бұрын
@@MistBestWaifu2 do you have a link for the ruling? I tested it on edopro (not official ik, but idk what to search to find this case) and it works as I said it would, with sp in mind the player who takes control of sp would get to activate her effect after the chain resolves (talents cl1, ip cl2) And yes I am talking about fountain, but I also mentioned merrli as that's a much better target to pop, even cryme shouldn't be used on fountain, but trying to snipe it with the 50/50 is still better than whatever spright did in the actual game
