This generation don't respect the OGs in no aspect of life. It was Jordans athleticism and competitive nature that made him stand out in his era!!

The only thing these players are more skilled at is 3s. Thats it.
@Hunt9-qb1if2 ай бұрын
No, they’re not more skilled at shooting threes. None of these players today have to shoot threes with a forearm on them. The way players back then had to shoot them. If you took the forearm handchecking off the players how do you think they would shoot? Stephen Curry doesn’t like physicality he never shoots well when you can put a body on him Like you saw 2016 curry is not that great of a shooter if you put them in the 90s with you being able to physically body on him

That's what ill give them the 3 ball nothing more. They don't playin the post hardly any midrange them boys just shoot 3s all damn day boring #ss

When you're allowed to take 3-4 steps, carry and double dribble the basketball, and the defense is not allowed to touch an offensive player, of course they gonna seem more skilled these days! These 2K players are the dumbest athletes of any era!

But they are more skilled, even without the rule changes. The problem is that without the guys who helped develop the game over the years, the skill level wouldn't be where it is now. It would be like someone saying James Brown wasn't thst great of a dancer compares to Micheal Jackson, but Micheal wouldn't have been who he was without James Brown.

Ant is my Boy, I am a bulls Fan for life as I grew up in the Prime Bulls era as I am 51, and Ant Man to me is the player for me. But that's rude. Kemp would Bust Your ass Ant. Mike Findlay, would tear you a new one. Barkley would put you teach you to shoot jumpers because you ain't getten in the paint. Johan Starks would be in your shorts, Tim Hardway would clamp you like a vice grip. The gloved you get you subbed off for always picking your pocket

Before LBJ and Zion, the mid 80s and 90s have CB34. The players didnt evolve. The rules and regulation was change to tailor the players of today.

He doesn't realize that he's actually disrespecting Michael Jordan by pretty much saying he dominated in a time when there wasn't any skilled players to compete against. So that outrageous comment is just plain stupid.
@DS9megafan2 ай бұрын
🤨 Today’s players only appear to be more skilled because they aren’t playing within a team system at all (iso ball) or their system that their team runs requires little to zero discipline from them so they’re free to dribble dribble dribble (iso) out on the shot clock and get whatever shot they want… Fake skills on full display. 💯 Players back in the day were extremely skilled but all played disciplined ball within their team system structured around sacrificing for team success. Yesterday’s NBA was different and only purest/ students of the game (critical eye) will recognize and or appreciate/ respect it. Just Saying. 👍🙂

That is the ridiculous to say this era is more skilled than the past. Human beings have not gone through any athletic evolution in the past 30 years. If that's the case they should be breaking all those records from the past.

I'm not clouded with this ERA is "MORE SKILLED", the difference is today's NBA has more FREEDOM OF MOVEMENT. When the Celtics didn't allow KD freedom of movement you see the result. Didn't have enough skill to overcome when he didn't have a clear sight of the basket..

More skilled? Name all your skilled players of this generation. And I will match your skilled players from the 80s , 90s, 2000's
@rawbellco492 ай бұрын
@imyourpops300 Are you reading what I said. I said this ERA skill level is BS. This is majority athleticism including Lebron James. I'm in my Mid 40's. LAUNCHING a bunch of 3's is not a skill.

These players today do not have fundamentals and they are not more skilled at dribbling because pistol Pete was doing dribbling drills way back when he was playing the exact same dribbling drills that Curry and Kyrie do before games. There is a video of Pistol Pete doing the drill here on youtube. lets keep it 100 the game has not evolved it has devolved.

Players today are not more skilled They can't pass as well, they don't box out as well, they don't have near the defensive skills These guys can dribble and shoot 3s more skillfully as a whole but let's be real their overall game is weaker they just stat stuff because every game is a no defense all star 3 point shootout

If that's the case why so sensitive? If it don't apply let it fly...

I know this may seem far fetched but it's Jordan's fought Edward's said this and thinks like this. 1st the conspiracy that he could be his son. 2nd Jordan went to the commissioner and changed the defensive techniques or elicited them like hand checks. That's why MJ couldn't win! You tube algorithm makes it so you don't see any games especially if it shows success vs mj. Glad Zeke stepped up. I'm a detroiter so I'm bias too cause there are too many mj jock riders. Zeke killed mj regular season and playoffs from 1987 to 1990 4 years of personal but whipping. Much as mj talks trash; is there highlights of him trash talking zeke in a game? I think not.
