Isiah Thomas is getting what he deserves. Isiah Thomas’ legacy will not last as long or longer than Michael Jordan’s legacy. Generation Z human beings, such as Anthony Edwards, will only remember Michael Jordan from before the Year 2000, and Isiah Thomas deserves to be forgotten and ignored by the new generation, simply because he lied and flipped-flopped out of spite….one moment MJ is the GOAT, then LeBron is the goat, and then Kareem is the goat. What goes around, comes around. And unfortunately, along with Isiah Thomas, everybody, except for The GOAT - Michael Jordan, shall and is being forgotten. RIP to the legacy of Isiah Thomas….it is what it is.

I can remember waiting for the Newspaper to check weekly NBA scores and upcoming games ahead. I also recall walking to the corner store and looking at a Pro-Line sheet to check if my teams were picked to win. The library had a whole bunch of magazines in the 80's and 90's, and guess who was on the cover? MICHAEL JORDAN!! Not Anthony Edwards, he wasn't even close to being born yet. It makes you think, player(s) must have talked during the Olympics and said there was no talent back then except MJ. What about Hakeem, Shaq, Bird, Magic, Isiah, Rodman, Penny, Sir Charles, Drexler, Dominique, Kareem, Russell, Wilt, etc. The reason is Michael was a little different in the 1980's with his acrobatic, athletic and miraculous lay-ups and dunks. Then, the 1990's came along and MJ and the Bulls were winning like crazy!

Dis: This is what you call an elder NBA player looking out for a young NBA player. I remember Wilt Chamberlain in the 90's talking about the media criticizing the media on 'Up Close' with Roy Firestone .... Chamberlain was stating how the media didn't do a great job and commentators who were broadcasting NBA games didn't go into the history of the league to give context to what people were seeing and placing it correctly in NBA history. Also, how the media didn't give the credit to the older generation for paving the way for the Jordan-era in how Jordan was worshipped and praised and how Shaq was looked upon as great .... Chamberlain's claims were that the media would say if a guy scored 10, 20, or 25 points people say he's great and they didn't talk about how when the game was played correctly during the 60's and 70's into the 80's.

The problem I have isn’t just in the NBA. These guys in the NFL are no different. The problem is they have no knowledge of the history of the game they play. ESPN used to care about knowledge but turned from that decades ago and are doing more harm than good. I think it’s a strategy to keep interest just like they are always looking for the next one. You can tell who they push by how their games are officiated as well. From Mahomes to Lebron the favoritism will always be there because they need to push a product. Sports aren’t organic and losing integrity across the board in my opinion.

And on top of that..these cats are playing in a soft era via the rules with all this spacing, that they are able to free style more with their moves. Back then with hand checking and limited spacing..you had to just be fundamentally sound with your ball handling and footwork to get to point A to point B and to point C. You earned your spacing back then with precision team ball movement to get guys open and individually with your footwork. This was why having an explosion first step was crucial since defenders were able to get up on you with the hand check. And even if you had some signature moves, you had to be strategic when you used that move. Most of these cats get away with traveling and carrying the ball because the refs don't call it. Heck..Adam silver told KG in that interview that he would t want a guy like Steph Curry's unique skill set get hindered by a bigger defender being able to hand check him. So basically he is exposing Steph curry with his statements..that he can get away playing like this because of the rules that are in place. They put these rules in place to open up the game artificially.

The gentleman on the mic, was talking about politics, i'm glad he did, and he knows what he's saying, i'm right down the street from the United Center, i didn't watch tv, and i'm not thinking about those people, all those many down there, men/women, the minute, they let that lady in or win, a year later, the same women down there, will be over each other's apartment or house, talking, i voted 4 that b, and she ain't did nothing, now, about basketball, i look over A Edwards, he was a baby, and wasn't even born, when some of those players wasn't born, and many started saying I Thomas is salty, everyone doesn't think MJ is the greatest player ever, even if the most think /believe, Jordan is the greatest player, Isiah Thomas can't be that mad, he's 6'1 and many say, he's the second best pg ever, no dis toward Magic Johnson, but to me, it's a tit for tat Magic vs Isiah Thomas, the only difference i see in them, Magic Johnson, was 8 inches taller, and could see over his defenders, Scottie Pippen, was the 1, who was able to break the code on Magic, at 6'7 with long arms, he's the 1 who kept turning M Johnson 95 feet up the court, so he couldn't set up those plays, Pippen was a big key winning that 1st championship, Jordan was going to score, they are, the best one two punch, i've seen, it's many times, i wish K Malone, had slipped down in the 1985 draft, and landed in Detroit, and S Pippen had fallen to Detroit in the 1986 draft, i know many don't like I Thomas, and if you like M Jordan better, i'm cool with that, and i'm not mad at you'll, and don't be mad at me, 4 what i'm about to say, I Thomas, came from the same area i'm from, i never went against him, playing against Chicago, when were on Madison ST right now, in Chicago, we talk basketball, from Jordan, then point g's and forwards, Isiah's name i'll mention it, Jordan won league mvp's, all star mvp's, player multiple all star games mvp's, and finals mvps, he won more, Isiah T won first, he won all of them, except, the league mvp, and i'll say, that's not bad, when his father, Mr Thomas, was all about education, and didn't care much for entertainment, and his son, became, 1 of the greatest point guard's who laced up a pair of gym shoes, i have nothing bad, 2 say about M Jordan ever, and i'll never say nothing bad about Isiah Thomas, were both early 1960's children, Isiah T, is a little older than me, Myself and many in the same age range here on the Westside, we love what you did, on the floor, and we love you brother.

I am 40 - when I was a kid we celebrated the history of the NBA. The NBA is the only sport losing fans cause it’s the only sport that operates for the entitlement of the current players and not the fans or the game. It’s embarrassing. No other sport has young players like this. They have no entitled super insecure narcissists in other sports tearing down the history of their own game. The NBA has become an embarrassment to the sport of basketball. It’s why the WNBA and women’s and men’s college basketball are gaining fans and the NBA is losing them.

@@TashaOneal-l8h LeBron needs to get with Oscar Robinson and Isaiah Thomas. There needs to be a committee to set up a test for NBA players have to take a nba basketball test to know the history of the NBA and if you fail it you can't play it in the NBA. That would fix a lot.

I think the point Zeke was trying to make is that the “NBA” promote their star players and the general public believe that person was the only great player.

This is all about getting Bron to the GOAT spot. Bron and Klutch don’t see that it will happen naturally and so they need to create it. And since we live in a world where ppl believe whatever they are told by the media that they like. Fox/cnn.

Isiah Thomas is the most disrespected Player ever arguably, back to Back champion, 3 straight finals all those eastern conference finals, etc.. Zeke never got his due and while he downplayed Jordan in favor for Lebron, he never said Old school sucked either. Isiah hyped up Kareem, etc.. Isiah Thomas gives up Props however he been downplayed for his greatness. IMO Iverson, Nash, Steph, Kyrie all in debit to Isiah , however the NBA has down played each era and actually David Stern is to blame to Adam Silver and the JJ Reddick mess

To me..if you are below the age of 30-35..let alone in your early 20s..we shouldn't care what these cats have to say regarding the 80s and 90s. They wasn't born then or was Sooo young to properly understand the game and what they are watching. Because time and time and time again, they display no knowledge of the history and resort to just regurgitating what they hear in debate shows on tv.

Perhaps it’s because other sports don’t have greats that harp on the younger generation as excessively as the old heads do in the NBA, especially when the old heads are hypocrites (League is too buddy-buddy yet MJ and Barkley were going golfing after finals games) (Pretending as if divas and wasted potential athletes just magically appeared in the year 2008) (Shaq’s war on ANY young big men, especially when they don’t have post moves a la Dwight Howard or Javale Mcgee
