In October, an Islamist extremist killed a 70-year-old man in Hartlepool, in the north-east of England, inspired by Hamas. And yet time and again politicians seem desperate to just mourn and move on, while shushing any discussion of the ideology motoring this barbarism. In the second case, a man has been charged, is likely to face more charges, but not gonna pre judge potential outcomes, however it's true to say that the media went silent on the case in terms of the peripheral stories they would normally do in cases such as this. They did report in a limited way that the child with the most catastrophic injuries was finally released from hospital this week,... but of course her life is entirely altered to one of lifelong disability and special needs 😢😢😢

I live in Italy….An interesting and admirable fact in Italy is that the Italian state does not recognise or accept Islam as a religion in Italy. This is because they demand reciprocity in matters of religion..if the Catholic Church is not recognised and is not allowed a church in Mecca or Jeddah…or any Islamic country….then Italy does not recognise Islam as a religion and will not allow the building of mosques in Italy. Given what is happening across Europe, this seems a very sensible and well grounded decision.

On this subject, I heartily recommend a track I discovered by accident (it appeared in my 'recommended' feed) by a British band called UNIT. The track is A Tribute To The Israeli Defence Force and it is excellent - tuneful and forceful without being bombastic combined with a lovely lyric. I know next to nothing about the group but on investigation I see they've recorded a whole batch of Jewish related tracks such as Pesach, Yom Kippur, Bar Mitzvah, Israel Is Real, The 613 Mitzvot and probably others I don’t know about yet. Some of them feature Rabbi Moshe Bryski which is definitely a recommendation in itself.

Thank you so much for voicing exactly what I've been thinking lately. There is a formula which, if overlaid on all political & media discourse currently, never misses: You can only ever specifically criticise, generalise or blame majority or intersectionally 'privileged/oppressor' groups & their members, and can never specifically criticise, generalise or blame minority or intersectionally 'marginalised/oppressed' groups or members. The issue with the intimidation campaign against Jess Phillips & her response illustrates this perfectly. She could not specify the intimidation was coming 100% from Muslim men because Muslims are a minority 'marginalised/oppressed' group, so she had to broaden the issue to be about general misogyny because men are an intersectionally 'privileged/oppressor' group so you are on safe ground to criticise, generalise & blame them. It really really never misses.

I disagree with anyone who thinks that America is an ally in a clash against political islam. America is too tied with countries like Saudi Arabia (oil) and Qatar (Natural Gas) to do anything about it. Also in many cases America has actually funded Radical Islam against countries that it does not like. Even to the point of funding Militant islamic outlets. What Americans generally care about is MONEY and nothing else, till Saudi Arabia and Qatar keeps giving them money and it seems profitable to America, they'll look the other way and do nothing.
