Island Hopping in the Belitung Islands

We booked a private boat in the Belitung Islands for $40 to explore Indonesia's most underrated island hopping adventure. This was our favorite day in the Belitung Islands and our favorite activity we can recommend for those planning to visit this beautiful paradise. The best part of having our own private boat is we could visit whatever island we wanted and stay for as long as we want compared to the shared boat tours we were seeing. At the end of our island hopping adventure we had lunch for 80K IDR per person which was the best food we had while in Belitung. We would even recommend hiring a boat to ferry you across to the lunch spot so you can try some of the best seafood on the Island!

Thanks Alexander, 9:33 we wish the world now realize what Belitung can offer after seeing this video. 13:41 it's an honours for us to receive such a beautiful testimony. 6:15 called Pegadoran island if not mistaken, just in front of Sheraton hotel right ? 12:20 called Pulau Burong this place appear at Hollywood movie The Philosopher. 14:59 called Kelayang Island, did you explore the water cave in the island ? I wish you can show drone shot with Batu Garuda view as well. There are more 5 more stops missing: - Lutong island (2 islands separated by high tide) - Tukong island (the best one U shape with lagoon), - Kepayang Island (largest island), - Babi Kecil island, and - the famous "Penis Rock" Island :) So, you definitely must come back. Jelly fish sometimes appear in the month of May-June, actually snorkeling is very good in Belitung you should explore next time.

No crazy motorcyclist in Belitung Island, no traffic jam, the most relaxing place i've ever visited. Even when riot happened in some cities in Indonesia because of politic issues, people in Belitung was still calm down, just like they live in their own world out of Indonesia. That's what i know about this island.

It is a famous destination among domestic travellers tho. I went there many many years ago.. nothing beat the sky, sand and clear water of Belitung. Every picture is postcard material. Unforgettable memories and unrecoverable sunburn.

I stayed at a private island called "Joyo Island" for one week.. rated as world's best private island by trip advisor. Just 1-2 hours from Singapore by Boat. Unforgettable moments. Have a great time guys 😘

I agree with you alex, Belitung is a hidden gem. I've been there several times and will keep coming back to this island. Beautiful white sandy beaches, a very friendly people, good food and coffee, and what impressed me the most was a laid back atmosphere that made us feel relaxed

Local folklore belief that, the rocks you see all over Belitung Islands is came from prehistoric Krakatoa eruption, since there are similarities of the rocks found in Krakatoa islands. Whether this is true or not is still need further studies.

Despite being the most popular beach there, Tanjung Tinggi Beach is still relatively quiet compared to other famous tourist destinations, like Kuta Beach in Bali. Did you know satam rock? People said it was meteor that fell in belitung. Other name of satam is billitonite, just like my name hehe. You can buy it for souvenir. There is satam statue in the center of city for icon of belitung

I think in the future you should more explore Sumatera. You can start from North Sumatera :Hiking in the hills around Toba Lake, Swimming with Elephant in Tangkahan , seeking Orang Utan in Bukit Lawang and Tubing in the fresh river

Yeah that’s the correct beach/port. We hired someone the hotel recommended it was about 700K IDR for the day with lunch
