Actually before the pandemic, Belitung is pack of tourist especially domestic, from Java (Jakarta, Bandung and Surabaya) almost in week end and holiday. But yes pandemic hits so hard, and then PPKM more worst, I think after easening PPKM, more tourist will come..thanks for hgighlighted Belitung Island in your travel Vlog..you surely fit an ambassador of Belitung..👏👏😊😊

you should come to the neighboring big island, Bangka someday! It's also nice island but more populated. There are also beautiful chinatown (or chinese village?), beautiful beaches and a lot of nice food. They were the one who invented martabak manis and it's the best.

I and my mother visited Belitung in 2017. We were very curious about the island because Belitung is the location of the famous movie 'Laskar Pelangi' and also Belitung is the resident of Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, the former governor of Jakarta. Just like you, it was very exciting when island hopping. One thing that amazed us was the very big stones in the island and we wondered where the stones came from. I hope one day you can visit my hometown in Jayapura, Papua. Stay healthy. Shalom.

I hope someday you visit 5 priority destinations from Indonesian long-term planning for tourism development agency 2020-2024. I worked at Department Development Planning, Indonesia choose 5 priority destinations "New Bali" as a special economic zone. 1. Borobudur and Prambanan Temple (Jogjakarta) 2. Toba Lake (North Sumatera) 3. Likupang (North Sulawesi) 4. Mandalika (NTB, for Moto GP) 5. Labuhan Bajo (NTT, actually this place is planned to held G20 Meeting but, Indonesia relocate this meeting in Nusa Dua Bali) Central Government currently builds so much infrastructure for those destinations try to attract visitors after Covid 19 science 2019. This place is not good as Bali or Jakarta that's has a massive infrastructure, it's just the beginning of a long-term development project.
