Cleaning meat is completely unnecessary as any pathogens/bacteria will be killed in the cooking process. Rinsing meat not only doesn’t do anything, but it splashes raw meat juice all over your sink and potentially on your counters too, which IS a health risk.

Natural with brown sugar and olive oil guuurrl. The only thing I remember adding to the green seasoning was Cilantro/Culantro or "Shadow Beny" to make the whole dish come together! This is the first time I watch one of your videos and at minute 3:27 FELT the need to congratulate you very young lady, for teaching us the importance of washing the meat prior to be cooked. I’ve seen hundreds of videos where the pieces of chicken go straight out of the supermarket bag to the tray to be baked. I have friends that argue that the “heat will kill any bacteria”. And my response is “go ahead, eat the (hopefully) dead bacterias then” Even it’s hard to trust cleanliness in supermarkets… let me finish watching your video.

Thank you! My first time out and loved it. I made this a couple of weeks ago, including preparing my own green seasoning. I used a 2lb chuck roast instead of ox tails, and it came-out fantastic. Truly worth the three hours of braising; and just three cups of water needed. Instead of ketchup, I used a bit of tomato paste, and replaced green bell pepper with yellow and orange ones, which I already had. That's how chuck roast replaced ox tails- just needed to thaw it out and voila.

I made this recipe in a crock pot with 5 lbs of ox tails (instead of the 3 and a half because I don't like things too spicy) and it was amazing as advertised! Browned the large tails for a few minutes, substituted 1-inch and a half serrano pepper for the scotch bonnet, then dropped them in the pot on low for 8-10 hours and even my mom raved! I prepped these as freezer meals, marinated then froze. Thawed, browned and then cook as the recipe. Holy cow 🤤 so good! Just finished eating didn't even wait for my hubby to come home 😂 now I will put the baby to bed and make his plate when he gets home lol 😆

I'm Puerto Rican 🇵🇷 and although it's not a typical dish there, Cubans, Dominicans, and us Boricuas make what we call Rabo (tail) Encendido (hot/spicy). I don't make mine spicy at all, and every time I cook it, I make a huge pot because the whole family and friends know what they're in for. Your recipe has many of the ingredients I use too, some others I don't, and the order of how to make it is different. But the presentation, looks, and meat falling off the bone are very similar. ;-) Now you've given me the idea of making a video of how I do it. I'm sure yours is spectacular! Great Video!!
