Notes from this part of surah kauthar 8:26 According to ibn Abbas kauthar is the great good but there are numerous narrations if kauthar being a river The thing is: "The river that Allah gave him in paradise is from the good that Allah s.w.t gave him s.a.w" 🔸list of other goods kauthar given to hm -great character he was living in a time where his character was attacked) -Nabuwat. messenger of last great words of Allah -he was sent as a mercy for all ppl (even non-Muslim) surah tawbah is a very scary surah, it talks about non-Muslims, it's so harsh that it does not even begin with tawz tasmiah (bismillah hir rehamn nir raheem) Allah's mercy is not mentioned at the beginning but at the last verses of surah, prophet's s.a.w mercy is mentioned. this "harsh" surah does not start with Allah's mercy but ends at prophet s.a.w's mercy. Why? The kuffar have 4 months before they are executed, the ayyahs were revealed that Allah has nothing to do with these kuffar, telling kuffar that u are not gonna overpower your enemies, (it is not your time.) Why did Allah mentions Prophet's mercy, in a surah that seems to have no mercy at all? Why is it related to prophet's mercy? Or mercy. Ans: When a people do kuffar with the Messanger in his presence, then by the sunnah of Allah s.w.t. Allah punishes them in this world and in hereafter. Thats sunnah of Allah s.w.t As Allah s.w.t has destroyed many nations who have disobeyed, did kuffar of messanger in his presence.And it is even in the book of christians (the destroying of nations) The punishment that the kuffar of Makkah were given was the sahaba (believers) the believers fought kuffar and conquered Makkah. Now Allah overpowered the disbelievers, and when Allah s.w.t over powers the disbelievers he send them punishment or they die, but in this case, Allah s.w.t actually gave them (disbelievers) 4 months to think about Islam again. And even now after 23 years of Islam, a disbelievers comes to u in these 4 months, give him time, preach him again and dont hover into his face "so what's your decision?" No. Let him go to a safe place where he can think and make his decision on his own. THIS IS a speacial mercy given to prophet s.a.w, it never happened for the previous ummahs. And when they convert into islam your previous records will be cleared.Its just so much mercy. And if u dont even turn to islam after 4 months, then get ready to fight a battle after 4 months. Thats why mercy of prophet Muhammad s.a.w is mentioned. He s.a.w is rehmat ul lil alamin (mercy on all conscious creations) if it was not for the mercy of Prophet Muhammad s.a.w the kuffar would never get those 4 months. (as the sunnah of Allah) -Qur'an Its the final miracle. Other prophets were also given different miracles. But those miracles were only miracles when they (prophet) were alive. I.e the miracle of turning staff of moses into a snake. For the people who saw it with thier eyes, it was a miracle. For thier kids, or next generation they were stories. And a story can be believed or disbelieved. But a miracle is something that is on your face. The messanger's miracle lives on and is as valid today as it was then. Bcz all messanger's miracle were for the eyes to see, but prophet Muhammad's miracle (s.a.w) was for the ears to hear and we still have the ears to hear the same exact messages -justice Prophet Muhammad s.a.w was given a relegion of justice. A justice so valid that even a woman could ask omer r.s (the caliph) in public "what are you wearing? Where did u get that money from?". -victory The next surah after is, is surah "fath" (victory). Prophet Muhammad s.a.w's life was of 63 years out of which 23 years were of nabuwat (prophet hood). In only those 23 years, only 23 years changed the way ppl think,eat,sleep,do buisness, thier government,thier rules, manner, ideologies,what to say whatnot to say, manners of even going to washroom, justice and so on. Only in 23 years it changed the whole world. We are Muslims bcz of those 23 years of nabuwat of prophet Muhammad s.a.w. it has never happened in history that only 23 years brought this much change. That a huge victory. -Allah s.w.t gave him amazing believers (followers). Prophet s.a.w left behind sahaba who changed the world -Allah s.w.t changed the kibla (prayer direction) of muslims bcz of him s.a.w so that he s.a.w could have a smile on his face cz hazrat ibrahim prayed so much for mecca (khane ka'ba) -ummah. Allah sma.w gave him s.a.w a gift of his ummah (us🧡). Prophet s.a.w is a gift for us and we are a gift to him. subhanallah! -shifa'a (shifaat: forgivness) at the day of judgement people will run to everyone, every prophet and all of them would say "nafsi nafsi" (me , me) a mother would not care about her children,nor a father. Ppl would be ready to give the whole world just for them to go to jannah.but our prophet,our prophet s.a.w, would ask for forgiveness for us, for his ummah. subhanallah!. -Allah s.w.t sends durood on Prophet s.a.w. -5 prayers -scholars of this ummah. He s.a.w said "The scholars of my ummah are the equivalent of prophets of bani israel" -Allah made the Qur'an easy to memorize. . AFTER ALL OF THESE INFINITE GIFTS,HOW CAN HE S.A.W THANK ALLAH? so Allah s.a.w answers that in the 2nd verse the first words :pray (fasali) namaz.prayer and sacrifice is an act of ibrahim a.s and Allah s.w.r says about him (Ibrahim a.s) that he was grateful (shakir). Salah is an act of shukr (gratefullnes) along with many things.
