Uh, this is part of AAVE, and has a very long history, mainly because of the actions of white poeple, and come on. The Brits use ‘mate,’ so that brings into question… what the heck are you doing with YOUR friends at the pub? 🤣
@angleofshadow981812 сағат бұрын
@@TakaComics you can use mate with both genders and with any skin color. Allowing only some skin color to use some words is purely rascist and sociopathic. But you propably believe that only "whites"(what ever that mean) can be racist. There are light skinned Arabs, Jews, Asians, Latinos etc, but you don't consider them white?(that's racist as well) Besides, all English speakers use mate, not only Brits.

Even an "old" joke: timing is everything. You can learn funny jokes, deliver them with *insert BS here*. BUT timing. So laid back but so solid!

I was called “brother” after being shouted at by a wild customer at a store. Our store had a policy of holding all game console purchases behind the counter until purchase, and the woman buying a 3DS yelled at me because I told her I had to hold onto it, but she can still shop and come check out when she was finished. She went off on me, and then started telling the customer service desk that I was racist. I was sent on break so the manager could handle it, and as I’m walking back from getting my lunch, my coworker says “That lady’s crazy. Nobody calls my brother racist.” I’m like, “uhhh… I feel I’m way too white to be a ‘brother’ but thanks.” 🤣

You might also learn in Amerika that you're a mother from someone suddenly attaining self control mid-word.

I didn't get a joke. Could someone explain me, what's another meaning of brother in USA?
@samppakoivula997713 күн бұрын
Brother in USA = black person
@RamblingZhen13 күн бұрын
The meaning he is referencing is related to some black guys referring to all other black guys as 'brothers' or all other black women as "sisters". Example, "I was hanging out with a bunch of white people when I realized I was the only brother in the comedy club", or "why do all the rich brothers be dating snow bunnies" So what he was saying is someone asked if there was any other black guys around and he raised his hand.

@@RamblingZhen Or just "bro". I don't know about "sistA". Perhaps, "sis" or "si".
