Basically you are laughing about mocking those who refuse to torture animals.
@williamhansen94566 ай бұрын
@@NuntiusLegis I'm vegan and I think it was hilarious! The joke wasn't even about veganism it was about being disingenuous. He just used veganism as the subject to be disingenuous about because there's already a conception in the general public that vegans tend to tie their veganism to their perception of themselves. And as a vegan I can confirm that this conception is not a misconception and it is indeed pretty funny. If you can't laugh at yourself, you're missing out.
@NuntiusLegis6 ай бұрын
@@williamhansen9456 That's bullshit, it is clearly anti vegan. Alone his derogatory pronunciation of "vegans" in the beginning, then that stupid old joke about vegans telling everyone they are vegans, wheras he wouldn't tell people he eats sausages - as if veganism would be about food preferences and not about refusing animal torture. The rest of the video is about rubbing meat consumption under the noses of vegans, which is the most frequent kind of bullying vegans, only made particularly insidious by first lying to be vegan. This is not humor, this is malice, on the same level as mocking poeple who help crime victims or refugees from war zones.

This is actually really deep if you think about it. Todays culture has become that we think we've progressed to being so accepting and polite, but we still have lots of cultural boundaries we force people into. This is why we freak out when people have beliefs that don't conform to today's cultural standards. Why freak out if we are about accepting other people's beliefs, whatever they may be? I personally don't buy into today's cultural push for being all-accepting, everyone happy-go-lucky and not judging people. Judging doesnt equate to being cruel, it's simply bringing into conversation what might possibly be actually wrong about something or someone so we can actually better the situation. We've lost the ability to debate and argue and share ideas peacefully.

Agreed. I eat as much plant based as possible and try to disguss about it in a not pushing way with people. Judging is not the way to make people try. Thats the way to keep the veganism as a small group cool kinda thing. But yeah. Still I cant more than recommend eating as much plant based as possible. It is good for your health, it improves animal rights and helps the planet . there really is a reason for the hype peace :)
@jarskil88623 жыл бұрын
@@handypicker I mean I like vegan stuff, but im not purposely seeking vegan products. But I suppose the political ways to reduce meat eating can be lil counter effective for animal rights. Even if you tax a small local farmer, who is taking good care of animals, out of business, meat eaters wont magically become vegans. Instead big mass producers just rub their hands as small rivals get removed. The "meat tax" should be aimed for imported meat only. Local producers would thank and mass producers would be ones taking the hit.
@handypicker3 жыл бұрын
@@jarskil8862 One year smarter and I totally agree with you. We could actually feed the whole world if we would change the way of farming. Vandana Shiva knows the way how we could for example feed whole India twice (everyday, forever). No pesticides, no robots needed hehe. Bill Gates vegan lab meat, no thanks.. No government wants to hear this kind of solutions though because they don't bring profit for them or to the the big companies. They need people in the unhealthy cycle of consuming media, unhealthy food and medicine. In this time it is also so easily seeable how governments don't care about improving our health. They want to be the ones giving the option which never is " go to nature, move, work on something that actually matters, eat local organic food " no... it's more like "fresh air is not necessary for human health. touch is not necessary for human health. as long as you are a slave you are healthy". This pisses me off so much, seeing children of a few years old not being able to get viruses and bacteria inside them to help their immune system but breath their own recycled air in and out for hours. Anyways, food CAN be local, plastic free and organic. And the whole world does not need to be vegan for this. At all. It can be a choice and I think it can be a good start for a journey to a more sustainable way of living but whenever it is like " this is the only good way of thinking and everyone should think like this" it is not bringing proggression, I think. I was working on a permaculture farm and I was super happy for our neighbour having cows bcs their poop helped a lot with making the soil better. ^~^ I highly recommend diving into Vandana Shiva, Willie Smits, Sepp Holzer & Geoff Lawton if you haven't yet. They offer practical, budget friendly solutions for the soil and biodiversity, but also for human health. To make a beautiful green future... All good for you, I feel good after writing this and try to make a good day out of it ! ^~^
